Injured Puppy - Crate Rest - Need ideas

So you may remember from the previous posts that my puppy (11 month old german shep/golden mix) has a sprained ACL and just all around bad legs. She isn't doing much better so after talking to the vet we are going to continue with 2 months of rest. Crate rest, taking it easy and only going out for potty breaks.

Those of you that have gone through dog injuries, do you have any tips for keeping her calm for the next 2 months? (Yikes!) We have been keeping her in the crate a lot over the past couple of days. If she is getting bitey, jumpy when she is out of her crate, she goes back in. Does anyone have any other ideas? Games where she can just sit or lay there? Last night I was trying to teach her catch by dropping pieces of her kibble into her mouth. That was fun for a while.

In the past when she turned into a crazy nipping barking lunatic we'd go outside and run around for a while. Can't do that now. Help!

oh boy... i have been there. although i have a feeling, it's worse with yours.
one thing i taught jason in that time was to kiss me on command. it wasn't so hard, since he likes to lick anyways..
i guess what i'm saying is, get creative teaching her new tricks, that don't involve using her legs. keep her mind stimulated, ya know..
other than that, i'm afraid i don't have much advice...
i feel for you and your girl though. hope she gets well soon..
