    OMG!! Did we?!! Yep..we did:(

My husband and I were so tired from stress and being sick that we...gulp...forgot to bring in the dogs last night!! They spent the night outside. I feel so horrible!! It wasn't very cold last night and they do have shelter and bedding out there. Boy, do I owe them though. A trip petco I will go after I drop off Sebastian at school.

Well it's not like you left them out there with nothing, no bedding or shelter!  Of course, that can all be fixed with a few new toys and some treats [;)]

Very true. They also had food, water and other toys as well.

Uh. Guilty as well. Once or twice we left Conrad outside when we lived out in the country. He was actually in his spot right under our bedroom window and never uttered a peep until the wee hours of the morning when I heard some rustling and quiet whining out there and realized, omg I left the dog outside!!!

I still have paranoid fits about that. Every now and then I'll wake up in the middle of the night like "AAAHHHH! WHERE ARE THE DOGS?!?!?" only to go wandering around the house in the dark and finding them sleeping snuggly on the couch or wherever.

They'll forgive you!  When I was still on the midnight shift and ubber tired all the time I fell back to sleep after I put the dogs out.  I didn't wake up until I heard Jack barking.

Guilty here too, I'm afraid.  I did that once.  He was so quiet the whole night I didn't notice until morning when I went to let him out, and he was already out.  OMG I felt horrible.  But I was more traumatized by it than the dog was!  He didn't seem to care.  I'm sure yours have forgotten all about it by now as well.

I do feel guilty about us forgetting to let them in. I know that the dogs do forgive me and probably thought it was fun. I am so relieved we are still in a warm spell here.

I did buy them a few new stuffties and chew bones from Petco today.

They will forgive you, but the mommy in me needs to tell you please be more careful.

I will definitely try to be more careful once again. This has never happened before in all the time we have owned Shannara and Bubbles. Everyone has been sick in this house, and I think the stresses of daily life, holidays and being sick caught up with us last night. I am very happy that they were safe and fine.

Don't worry, I forget stuff like that all the time.
