    auntie ruths is booked.

how big a pup can you "carry on" a plane?   LOL  - Henrietta is 47lbs.
My girl ain't ever riding in the baggage - no air, pressure, temp control, etc.

You can bring dogs up to 15-20 lbs in the cabin. However, many airlines have pressure and temperature controlled areas to keep pets in cargo. I flew my cat in cargo from the UK to Canada with no problems at all and if Louise gets too big to carry in the cabin, I would feel fine with her flying cargo on certain airlines (Virgin, American, British Airways).

Had no clue you were in the Twin Cities area, Kozmo!  We should meet up with the pups sometime in the summer!

I've not boarded my two yet, but have used Downtown Dogs for daycare and am pleased enough with their facilities and staff that I would consider them for boarding. [link>http://www.downtowndogsminneapolis.com/]http://www.downtowndogsminneapolis.com/[/link][/size]

Another option, but I'll guess they are booked, that is quite deluxe is Top Dog Country Club.  [linkhttp://www.topdogcountryclub.com/]http://www.topdogcountryclub.com/[/link]  I have been there when we were looking at fosters for adoption (owner is involved in Sheltie rescue) and the place is quite fantastic, but it's a haul to get there.  Have a co-worker who boarded her two dogs when she traveled frequently for another job and she raves.  While I was there, the dogs were all out and about in their yards (separated for size and temperament) and they were well supervised.  Also saw a dog we knew from dogpark - somewhat special needs and she is a somewhat regular for day care and boarding too, so that speaks well of them.

Good luck - let me know how you make out!

    Thanks folks!
I checked with Top Dog Country Club has some openings. Looks nice from the website, I think we'll have to drive out for a visit.
I get a little concerned when it comes to leaving my pup with anyone, and also not seeing her everyday.

Although, they fill up fast, the Humane Society in Golden Valley has a boarding program.  Plus, all thier profits go back into helping animals.

I've taken Kali to Woofdah in Burnsville.  Staff was great, facilities were really nice and Kali loved it. [linkhttp://www.woofdah.com/]http://www.woofdah.com[/link]
