I have to rant here because no one else will understand what I'm talking about!
My manager has no idea what she is doing with animals. She is so dumb sometimes! She claims to know a lot about snakes, but then asks me if its OK to house a ball python and a red tail boa together. NO! Then she tells me that dwarf hamsters cannot get wet tail...well, we had a dwarf hamster that got wet tail. Then she critisized the humane society for brining in a SLIGHTLY underweight dog for adoption. She said "oh, that dog is sooo skinny, it must be full of worms!" and "Oh, look at those dew claws hanging off, those should be taken care of!" The dog is not that underweight. I would much rather see a slightly underweight dog than a fat one. And, the dew claws, why remove them if they aren't causing problems? Plus, the humane society gets $50 to spend for medical expenses on each dog. They take care of the important stuff first. All are on worming medication, so no worms. She keeps telling everyone to give everything oranges all the time. NO! They are too acidic and cause stomach upset! Then she really makes me mad when I bring my dogs in. Rose just weaned her puppies and shes blowing coat. When she glared at Rose like she was the most unhealthy dog ever, I explained that to her. She did not understand a bit. I brought Rose in again today and she always looks at her like she is so unhealthy. The woman is an idiot and wouldn't know a healthy dog from a dog with mange! Any ideas on how to deal with it? Do I just keep ignoring most of it until she leaves in a few months? With Rose, I point out that she is wrong because she is my dog, and I feel I have the right. I try to not cross the line of being a know it all, but when its something major, I say something. Like the oranges, I have told the employees feeding to go easy on oranges and explained why.
OK, I feel better now that I got that out!
