DOes you dog wake you up in the morning to go out?

I take Odie out around 11pm before I go to bed. Then I'm up at 7am for work every morning, so I let him out then. On the weekends, I also try to wake up about that time to take him out, but then it's back to bed for both of us!

Odie is the king of grouches if you wake him up early. He'll grumble and try to hide under the covers if you wake him up to early! Just like his mom (I love sleeping! )

Luckily Odie is NOT the kind of dog to wake me up to go out. He just goes once someone is already awake. Now my aunt's goldens, they'll paw your face off if they're not out by 6:30 AM every morning. Guess every dog has their own routine. [:D]

Axl and Pepito will sleep forever. Ogre though, wakes up around 8:00 and starts making litle noises. Around 8:30, he comes into my bedroom and starts making little noises and bothering Axl and Pepito. If my butt isn't out of bed by 9:00 sharp, he's on the bed slurrping my face. [:D]  If I don't take the hint THEN, he promptly goes and pees by the door. Can't blame him for it, since he does his best to tell me he has to go. I'm pretty good about listening, for the most part.

Wow!  You guys get to sleep in.  Charlie is up with me at 4:30 am.  I take him for a walk and he pokes around until I leave at 6:30.  He then goes back to bed with DH.  On the weekends, he let me sleep in until 6:30.  Thank god I am a morning person [:D]

Max has a doggy door in the slider in our bedroom, so he can go out when he needs to.  But he is so NOT a morning dog.  He'll stay sacked out on the bed until the last one is up and out of the shower before he ambles down the hall. I feel for you guys that have dogs that like to get up so early![:)] On Tue. & Thur. we get up at 4:30 a.m. so we can be out the door at 4:45 to drop DH at the airport and Max knows that routine. He just stays sprawled across the bed because he knows I'm going to be back in it within an hour.

I try to keep Giz on the same schedule every day. This means as soon as the sun comes out she get her playtime and potty time outside. If I'm not awake she will nudge me with her nose and if that doesn't wake me she will bark and whine till I'm up. I let her out and then when I bring her back in she gets breakfast that I prepaired for her and I often go back to sleep for a bit more.

My 2 don't get out of bed until they hear me fixing their breakfast. I am at 5:30 weekdays so they are usually fed by 6:15, but on the week-ends even if I sleep til 9-10 O'clock, they stay in bed til they hear me getting their bowls.

my dogs can adapt very well. If i get up early, they're up with me and ready to go pee of course...If i sleep until 1130, they sleep with me until i get up.

Actually, Gracie gets up at different times & has use of the doggie door so she can potty when she needs to.  Trixie is a hard one to wake up in the mornings.  I generally have to wipe the boogers from her eyes and force her outside to do her business!

We got to throw away our alarm clock the moment we got Dottie.  From the moment we got her she has been diligent about getting us up no later (and I MEAN NO LATER) than 6:30 a.m.  I would imagine we have a bladder situation at that point but she sure is reliable and I am thankful it isn't a 4:30 call!  Lucky would still be sleeping if I let him!

No alarm clock needed here either...thanks to Prudence waking us up between 5:00- 6:00 a.m to go potty.  I havent slept in past 7:00 for more than 3 months (since we adopted her) and I am sure I will not be sleeping in again![;)]

Yep, no need for an alarm clock here. Charlie will sleep in, but Bellas is ready to go no later than 6:30...you can here here start moving around and its enough to wake us up. And with the recent addition of Beau.... well, he starts whining when he wakes up to go.

Oh it was so nice when it was just Charlie, he slept in bed with us and would NOT want to get out of the covers! He would get in between us and stretch out under there and not want to move. But those days are LONG gone.... 8 mos ago.

I have to say though, its easier to drag my butt out of bed when I have a purpose...my babies! :)

Not only is my almost-eleven Nandi not a morning person, but she's got an old bitch's bladder so we get up at least once a night in the wee hours so she can go wee.  I can't leave my dog door open at night since I live the woods.

Mornings: the rest of us are up and at 'em about 5:30, but she hides her face in her paws and tries to sleep in.
