The scariest dream I had was a two-part dream about a year or so ago. The first dream was with me and Jake just taking a walk (off leash, I believe), and for some reason we were walking alongside industrial type of buildings. We stopped at one building that was a wood-churning building (to sum it up, the building was above a cliff type of thing and there was a mechanical churner in the river below, and the building would dump logs and pieces of wood over the edge of the walls/cliff, and they'd be churned by the wood churner down river). Well, when me and Jake stopped, he ran over to the little wall or fence or whatever it was that was supposed to prevent people from falling in the water below, and Jake jumped on it (it was cement and wide enough for a dog to stand on it on all four legs). I remember clearly that he looked at me with that dopey look and then jumped over the edge into the water below. Then my dream ended.
A few nights later the dream continued. This time I started off the dream heading to the building again, but this time I went to the front (or side) door and knocked, and this guy answered. I asked if I could see the owner of the place, and he let me in. For some reason, I was TERRIFIED of someone, I think it was the wife of the owner of the building. Jeez, I can remember so clearly the feeling of fear I had when (in the dream), I could hear the woman's shoes clip clopping closer and closer, and I remember hiding behind tables and stuff. I don't know why I was terrified of her. Finally, though, the owner of the building was fetched and I asked him something about what happens to the wood that's thrown into the churner. He said that (duh) the wood gets chopped up. I started to cry and bawled out that my dog had fallen in the day before, and the owner just laughed at me. Then I woke up. That's the scariest dream I've had; I HATED that sickening feeling that my beloved guy was gone forever, and in such a violent way too.
Nightmares involving our pets are NOT cool! [
