Does the bitter apple stuff really work? I am going to be putting in new woodwork around the house and Sophia has been chewing up the old stuff. I need to fix this problem before the new wood goes up.

it didnt really work with our dogs. our puppy actually seems to like the taste, and our other dog doesnt mind the taste (of course she hasnt chewed up anything in quite some time)

It did work for Willow. But, she was older when we got her, don't know if that would make a difference. [

Annes old standby is Vicks vaporub. I've gotta admit that I've used it myself on leashes and it's wonderful.

I found that Riley actually enjoyed the bitter apple ... must've tasted like sour patch kids to him LOL. He does not like the bitter lime though. That works well for us.

I also found that Max liked the taste of bitter apple. There is no stopping him from munching wood when the mood strikes him. He kept stealing pieces of the firewood in the winter time.

Guinness loves bitter apple. Unfortunately she also liked vicks vapor rub.

We had good luck with oil of clove but test it in a hidden spot because it can leave a mark on the surface.

For Marley, we used tobasco sauce with success.
