I'm heartbroken (really long)

I am so sorry for your loss. I know how hard that can be. When I was in high school, we had a dog who had arthritis for years. The Remedyl stopped working and one morning he couldn't stand up anymore. We took him in and they told us it was bone cancer and the only thing we could do was put him to sleep. It was so hard, because we never saw it coming. I still ache when I think about it.

Stay strong and know that you gave Dante a great life. He is running pain free at the Bridge and you will see him again someday.

I am so, so sorry.  You did the right thing for Dante.  He is running free and playing and will be there to greet you with his goofy grin when your time comes.....

With tears in my eyes I say, Run FREE Dante! You were and will always be loved....

This is the WORST thing about having our beautiful furbabies. Letting them go. You did the right thing. You can buy time, sometimes that is good. But not always. You have to do what is in your heart. He is glad to be pain free now. That doesn't help YOU, you are hurting, but we have to suffer to let them go. I am SO VERY sorry. I have been through the pain and I know how it hurts.... (((HUGS)))

I'm so sorry, Carolyn.  I know all too well what it feels like to go the vet thinking you just need meds and wind up having to do the unthinkable.  Take comfort in knowing that you did absolutely the best thing for Dante.

I'm so sorry for your loss.  Dante was lucky to have such a good human family.

    Run free buddy.

I'm so very sorry for your loss.  I agree with everyone... you did the right thing for Dante.  And HE WILL be waiting for you at the Bridge!  You're in my thoughts as you go thru this difficult time without your sweet boy.

I have not been able to stop crying since I started reading your post.

I am sorry that you had to face such a difficult decision, and I know is not any consolation, but he is not in pain now, and he knows without a shadow of a doubt that he was loved and will always be loved.

I don't know for how long the tears will flow, but I can tell you, one day you wake up and instead of tears there is a smile when you remember.

Remember we are all here for you.

    Hugs from Houston, TX

I'm so sorry for your loss.  Honestly, I don't think you'll ever "get over" Dante.  That would be like forgetting him, and I know he's too special to be forgotten.  I've lost many beloved pets in my time, but I've never gotten over them.  Each one is still in my heart and awaits me at the Rainbow Bridge.  Dante's happy and has no pain now; you'll see him at the bridge.  [:)]

    Run free, beautiful Dante [sm=angel.gif]

How is the kitty doing w/o him?
We are here for you sweetie.

Carolyn, I just told DH what happened to Dante, and he said, he thinks Dante brought that kitten so you would have each other.
