I'm heartbroken (really long)

• Terri Posted : 11/21/2006 12:55:39 PM I am so sorry for your loss. I know how hard that can be. When I was in high school, we had a dog who had arthritis for years. The Remedyl stopped working and one morning he couldn't stand up anymore. We took him in and they told us it was bone cancer and the only thing we could do was put him to sleep. It was so hard, because we never saw it coming. I still ache when I think about it.   Stay strong and know that you gave Dante a great life. Letting them go. You did the right thing. You can buy time, sometimes that is good. But not always. You have to do what is in your heart. He is glad to be pain free now. That doesn't help YOU, you are hurting, but we have to suffer to let them go. I am SO VERY sorry. I have been through the pain and I know how it hurts.... I don't know for how long the tears will flow, but I can tell you, one day you wake up and instead of tears there is a smile when you remember.  Remember we are all here for you.
