• dog toys? Anonymous Posted : 11/19/2006 10:20:50 PM Hmm, this might be a goofy question, but anyway, is there any other dog toy that will challenge a dog, other than a kong? Maggie doesnt seem to like her kong at all, as she will lick the top and not bother to get the rest out, so I was wondering if there's any other toy out there that anyone has that their dogs like to play with? She completely destroys all her stuffed toys that I buy her after 20 minutes.... thanks! • inne Posted : 11/19/2006 10:44:16 PM Busy Buddy makes some good toys that make dogs work for treats/food and they keep my dog engaged far longer than Kongs. I especially like the Twist & Treat. Then there are those Hide-a-Squirrel/Bee/Bird toys, although they're soft. My mom has this neat toy for her dogs that's a big wooden square with movable pieces that the dogs have to shift to uncover treats hidden below. • Truley Posted : 11/20/2006 7:16:11 PM For the moment I am keeping empty soda/water bottles in the 16 oz size. I clean them out strip the plastic off if there is any and then dry them. After they are dry I will fill it with some treats or kibble and hand it to the boy. I make sure he see's me filling it too.   Lasts about 15 min or so and sounds like my kitchen is being wrecked, but it is so funny to watch him try and figure out how to get the food out. He uses any means possible to work it. It is even more entertaining the second time around, because it has been, smashed, bashed, crushed and chewed to death. Takes him a bit longer.   Yesterday he was literally spinning the dang thing with his paws to shoot the food out.
