    Cats and dogs breeding together???

Okay I was lurking and saw a post like this but I can't find it as it was about a week ago on one of topic boards.... It was someone telling how they saw there dog mounting their cat. Everyone commented on this subject... and I just was reading and laughing and moved on...

This morning I was watching Good Morning Amercia....They had a Momma Cat on with her two babies and they said she was bred with a dog. They didn't get into the subject so there isn't much for me to say other than I was SHOCKED. Can this really be so?

Did anyone else catch that this morning. I was so busy getting the dogs breakfast but I did see it. And yes I was wide awake...LOL But they showed that the kittens which looked more like a puppy (dog ) than a kitten( cat).

Okay this is to weird for me but Im opening up the topic again....Im ready for everyones thoughts or someone who saw this too.

there's a link to it. LOL...total crap. They say the pups were born 3 MONTHS after the breeding...lmao. The gestation period of both dogs and cats is 63 days...2 MONTHS...

There's a geneticist who says he'll test them but I have a feeling they will 'disappear' before that happens [;)]

Physically, biologically totally and completely impossible. Not "unlikely", not "weird" but a complete ;phyiscal impossibility.  Ladies and gentlemen, we have a hoax.

Yes I'm having a hard time not wincing thinking of the state a female cat's anatomy would be in after something like that. I mean even a small dog's equipment is SO much larger that a tom's...not to mention the tie part....omg. Allowing something like that or encouraging is borderline abuse.

Well, I was thinking more of the genetics of the situation than the equipment, but you're right on that front as well.

I'm sure she simply stole the pups from an inattentive bitch. It's sad if they keep up the charade - look how big those pups are - she'll never be able to feed them AND her own brood.

Some things just ain't meant to happen ya know?

Over at NDR There's another link to a written story....the comments have a good point about the length of time dogs and cats have shared space...a LONG TIME. That if were possible or even desired by them both it would have happened many, many times to the point of not being rare or unique.

Lord knows we have enough stray cats and dogs both running even in suburbia, to have many catdogs if catdogs were something remotely possible.

This is sort of off topic but I remember many, many years ago they had a story about a man who swore he was pregnant. It was all over the news (respectable news) and it was found of course to be a hoax..

I heard people talking about this at work the other day but wasnt sure where it had came from..

People will do anything to get attention I guess..
