    Silly dog!

What are some silly things your dog(s) do?

Last night I had gotten home late because of traffic and I forgot to put food next to the water bowl so Jazzmine goes over to the bowl, knocks out the water, and brings the bowl to me basically with this "feed me mom" look. lol.

Any toys she has she throws up in the air herself.. It is so funny! She was playing with this other toy and tossed it over the table by the tv. lol.

She has such a sense of humor..lol.

I bought Rory a new bed last night. She still had the one from when she was a pup, she had considerably outgrown it and hardly used it at all. I was a little hesitant to buy her one because she preffers to cuddle on teh couch on her own doggy blanket but they had them at Costco on sale and were super plush so I couldnt pass it up.
When I got home she was SO excited! She was running circles around me as I made my way up the walk and when I got in the house she tried to bite it out of my hands, I couldnt beleive it!
She ran outside, grabbed a bone and plopped righjt down on her new bed to break it in. It made me feel terrible for not getting her a new one sooner and she didnt get on the couch all night.

Caleb digs in his water dish- mostly when it's empty, but one night he was so hot after class (furnance wouldn't shut off there), that he splashed 2 cups of water out of his dish and all over his belly (and kitchen floor).  He dug at the tile floor at my school on Halloween.  That part of the floor is the same color as the inside of his water dish.

ETA- oh yeah- I almost forgot about Elmo.  He drags his Tickle Me Elmo all over the house.  The funny part is when he sucks on the stomach and kneads with his front feet like he's nursing.  He's fallen asleep like that numerous times.

When my wife is lying in bed, Shadow will hop on and sits on her chest with the biggest grin on his face as if he just won the lottery.

When we come home with bags of groceries, he would shove his whole head in EACH bag and look for a treat.  We usually take one of his toys and hide it in one of the bags for him to find [:D]

His version of the game, FETCH. I throw his toy, he runs to get it...and we meet halfway.

Belly rubs are a must, and a daily routine.

He needs his family together at all times.  For example, If I am watching TV in the other room and my wife is in another reading a book, he will pace back and forth nervously until one of us gets up and goes to the other.

Shadow does not like to go out for a walk when it's raining.  But mention a car ride and he's out running.

Shadow loves attention from us. When we are using the laptop, he will try to get in between, usually he plops his head on the keyboard or put his whole body.

During the week, my wife is the first to get up and take him on his morning walks (early).  But on weekends, when we sleep in a little he will cause so much ruckus to wake us up.  He will jump on the bed whining and crying, licking our faces, sitting on daddy's head, pawing mommy's face, rolling all over us until one of us finally gets up and saying "OK!" and he's off like a rocket to the door.

He really makes our lives interesting! [:)]

Lucky loves soccer and he plays it ONLY with a basketball.  We have tried him with soccer balls and it just doesn't make it for him for some reason.  He wants a regulation basketball so we are always on the lookout at flea markets for them and have a reserve bag of them in the house as he goes through them quite a bit.

As for Dottie... oh my gosh, she does so many goofy things.  What they say about Jack Russells being clowns is SO true.  I do think the funniest thing she does is in the a.m. while DH is dressing to take them for their morning walk, she will follow him around and "talk" to him.  It isn't a bark or a growl... it is like she is just telling him to hurry it UP she has to PEEEEEE!

I thought this was the silliest thing to do.  I had a little chubby Beagle foster named Jenny.  She is a Velcro dog and would always be at my feet and I would always trip over her.  So I got her a basket bed and where ever I went I carried the bed around with me so when I stopped she would be in a safe and secure place.  Once Jenny was adopted, Drizzle my Great Dane kept eyeing that bed until one day she decided it was hers and she was going to use it.  It took her about 10 minutes of circles and nose nudges but she finally managed to squeeze in.  I laughed so hard.

OMG THAT is framable!  WHAT a riot!  HAD to make it hers!  PHAAAH!  SO CUTE![sm=clapping%20hands%20smiley.gif]

Oh Drizzle! Your poor sweet baby. Come live with me I'll give you your own extra large basket bed, and I would never laugh at you.

I think its silly when M tries to get me to go squirrel hunting with him. Usually I'm in my studio when he comes in and stands at the doorway all crouchy-like. He looks back towards the sliding glass door, then at me, then back at the door. Then we both sneak to the door and formulate our plan. The plan is always the same.....we look at each other, he looks at the door, I open the door, he bum-rushes the squirrel.

Thank goodness he's not very fast. It would tramatize me if he actually got one!

Romeo is a goof ball.  We play hide and seek, so his favorite spot to hide is my bed under all my  pillows, the thing is he only hides his head the rest of his body sticks out, rump high up in the air and tail wagging.  I always squeal in delight, he jumps out and rolls over for a belly rub.

Whenever I lay down on any flat surface, he stops doing whatever he may be doing, runs over to me, licks myself and throws himself on top of me, if I don't pet him he rotates his head so he is looking at me kind of upside down until I start stroking him, if he stops I get the look.

And the silliest of them all, but his favorite is to pull all the towels down from the towel rack and into the bathtub and naps there. [8D]

and so many others, but those are my favorites.

Grady just did this recently.  DH & I were having a discussion & I was getting upset.  Grady comes along half sits on me with just his front legs.  He's looking @ me looking like he's saying "what's wrong, mama?"  All I could do was to cry & pet him.  The next thing I know he's flashing smiles @ me, snaggle toofie grins.  He did it twice.  How could I not laugh @ my clown boy?
