The humane society next to my college refuses to adopt out any animals to college students unless they are different than the normal college profile.

Just an FYI- Rebeccas situation is very different than a normal college student. She is a loving mother, dedicated dog owner, takes online classes and has WAY outgrown the usual college student phase that you typically see.[;)]

    hence
this line : unless they are different than the normal college profile.  Some of those kids have the nerve to apply for adoption when they live in the faraternity or sorority house.

that was exactly what I was referring too...it wasn't meant as an attack on your post because you had no way of knowing what that she did fall into one of the "different than normal college student" categories that you mentioned. I totally agree with you about the college thing...my step son is one of those "kids" that shouldn't have a dog becasue he can't be responsible all the time...thus his dad and I are having to pick up the "slack" and his dog doesn't even live with us.

I know.  Where I live there's a pet shop that I saw a sorority buying a pit bull from in the mall.  They were wanting to know if she would get big.  Talk about a disaster waiting to happen imo.  At least they were staying away from the gsd/wolf pups.  I can't stand that place, can you tell.  [:'(]

Anyways, I'm a college student in my early twenties, and I'm getting a dog next year or the year after next when I actually have a house.  Of course, I'm not your typical college student when it comes to dog experience.  Or party experience, hehe.  I'm not a partier by any means.

Just an FYI: Pitties occasionally come in black and tan, so this cutie could be 100% pure Pit. I would have a tough time saying, "No" to that face!
