Crazy day tomorrow

    Crazy day tomorrow

I am sure I am going to be sorry but I am taking TWO girls to the UKC Denton shows tomorrow lol! Sandy and her dam Nonnie. Nonnie hasn't been in a ring in 2 years and it shows lmao. SPOILED and willful is putting it mildly. She's also been running the fence for squirrels so she's on the thin side (imagine a thin Beagle!)...having to up her tucker again and add some goodies.

I am hoping more Beagles show up so I don't have to show her. She's a very pretty gal and her litter did her figure good (would that we all could say that!)...but man she won't behave! Let's hope the judge has a sense of humor if I end up taking her in....

Sandy should be okay...she knows what to do but is still a puppy...and having Momma close just might send her over the edge from "frisky"...to "bad girl!"...

The worrisome part is the end if I end up having to take them both in for Best Female...then Hubby will get to handle one if no one else can help...that's always amusing.

Anyhow wish us luck. I will try to have DH take some pics but he'll have his hands full holding dogs and minding Miss Lily who's coming along for the ride. [sm=proud.gif] [sm=uhoh.gif]

Colton's first weekend in the ring...he was a total crazy dog!  He jumped everywhere and pulled and just acted like he had never been trained in his life.  Of course, the handler is a friend of mine, so she knew that wasn't true.  It turned out for the better though, because another of our dogs got the points since Colton was crazy.  Now, he's almost a pro!  He likes to walk in front of who ever is handling, but he won't pull.  We just let him go there since he looks nice there.  I imagine Beagles can be just as stubborn!  Maybe even a bit more!  Good luck, and I hope to see some pictures!

Lol Colleen...just as stubborn yes. More annoying than being crazy they simply shut down and refuse to acknowledge you! They are a "tails up" breed and if that's not workin then you might as well not even bother lol!

Nonnie's annoying habit is "quicksanding" on the table....you set her up (which is fun becuase she's a leaner)...then she slowly siiiiinnnnkkksss down to lay on the table lmao!

I am praying the judges tomorrow allow bait so I can at least get her perky during her down and back!

Good luck and well wishes from about 50 miles northeast of you.

Well...my kiddo played a card I just couldn't ignore and we elected to stay home this weekend.

She reminded me tearfully that her school's "Monster Mash" was Saturday...sigh. She really wants her school friends to see her costume (they aren't allowed to dress up on the day)...so...Momma stuff ended up the winner over doggy stuff this time.

    Oh well...always another show!
