ATTN: GA folks, Lost Whippet

[color=#000000]This is an 11-year-old whippet, nights there are in the 20s, and the
family who owns him lives in Florida. Their son is out
there alone looking for him. He really needs some help, and
I hope you'll all forward this to any appropriate list
you're on -- rescue, breed lists, show lists, whatever.

This dog has been missing since October 1 but there was a
sighting yesterday. Whippets, in spite of their fragile
looks, are extremely tough little dogs. They can take care
of themselves much better than you're expect because they
are natural hunters. But the cold is going to kill this
fellow if he doesn't get out of the North Georgia weather
pretty soon.

I'm not in that area, or I'd go to help look. He is a handsome guy.... Not much consolation, but Vivi, the lost show dog who is still missing, managed to get through a NY winter somehow. I do hope he can be found, though.
