    Flying Dog

DH and I are seriously considering to spend 6 months or more in Asia next year. There's a big "if" of course, and that if is: will flying for 14+ hours harm Stanley, provided that we do everything right? (airline that supplies heat/air conditioning in the cargo, etc.) That's a round-trip of 14+ hours (usually 14 hours but sometimes longer due to turbulence, etc.) in 6 months or so. Stanley's about 7 years old and is generally healthy except for a little arthrisis in his spine.

From what I've heard that would not hurt him. I'd check with your vet for more info though.

If you can't take him, can I keep him? I just love Stanley--he's so cute!! Every time I see his face in your avatar, I smile. [:D]

Only if I could dognap Loki and Odin instead! [;)]

I really hope there's no harm in flying for that long, I'm *dying* to have my family over there meet our boy!

Lol! Sounds like a fair trade to me. You can have the little monsters. [:D] They shouldn't have any trouble on a plane for that long.

I'd definitely ask your vet. And if it's only ok for them to fly say 6-7 hours at a time, maybe you could have a layover in some fun city. I think people fly dogs internationally quite a bit though, so he'll probably be fine.
