glucosamine tabs...

Poor old Casey is arthretic...I need to get her more and the 1 tab isn't cutting it any more. She's 40 lbs...how much should she be getting?

What kind of glucosamine do you use? Glycoflex 3 is going great for my senior girl

She's just on 1,000 mg of glucosamine i got at Target. I guess I should prolly call my vet...[

I feel so bad for her...she as a large tumor and she can hardly walk on that leg..she has arthritis too. Not sure if it has set in that leg yet too or if it's the tumor that's final hindered mobility. It's a fatty tumor...

Liquid supplements absorb faster. Liquid Health makes a very good one as does Arthrisoothe. They are very easy to give & most dogs like the taste.
The dosing is shown on each web site.

From my sister's research and experience at the vet clinic, she says the combination of Glucosamine and Chondrointin works much better than either supplement alone. She says it's fine to buy the generic human supplements, just try to dose dose by weight.

We also have had good results with an aspirin at each meal for our Dalmation. Try do give it with food, it can be hard on their tummy.

I have had fantastic results with Liquid health brand. JJ no longer yelps, limps and has not had to go on rimadyl or any other pain relievers since starting this stuff. Here is their link.

I use a tablet with glucosamine/chondroitin/MSM. It also has vitamin C. Wolfgang is about 80 lbs. and gets 2250 mg. glucosamine and 1200 mg. of chondroitin and 1200 mg. of MSM per day. He also gets accupressure treatments every few months for flare ups.

I give Rupert liquid Glus/Chron/MSM. It's made by Symtec and called Joint Movement. For an adult is says 2 tablespoons a day. So I give Rup 1 tablespoon since he is 55lbs. You can get it almost anywhere. Walmart, Target, CVS, Walgreens. A 16oz bottle is $17.
