well glad to say instead of Xena killing a chicken today she actually saved one
my mom heard a chicken squawking(sp) today and went to investigate
Xena went to check it out too
happens a huge owl had one of our chickens but the chicken must have either been fighting hard or a little too heavy for the owl to carry it off
Xena went right at it and barked and chased it till it dropped the chicken and then she chased it into the feild
wow i was really amazed that she never grabbed the chicken, my mom said it was stunned and exhausted and laying there
im really proud of my pup she has really proved herself today
im hoping she is realizing that the chickens are part of her pack
as i type i can see her out my window watching the chickens and looking at the trees, keeping her eyes open for that owl
the chicken is doing fine btw just tired
and Xena got tons of praise for an excellent job =D
