I want to scream!

I'm somewhat grouchy - it's been a long day. I've been looking forward to spending some time on Idog today and COULDN'T Login. Yes, it's probably my fault, cause I somehow missed that we need to use our email address for our password, but the "reset your password' thing doesn't work... I have received ZERO emails regarding my reseting or reminding me of my

assword, OR for trying to create a new account. Then I tried to get help, but I couldn't seem to find a way to contact a moderator W/O being a member. FWIW - Jaime/Joel you may want to add "contact a mod" link somewhere easily accessible, or have it pop up if they getting a 'invalid password". Anyway - so, I get done with a much happier email a few minutes ago... and the damned thing would post. Said I was timed out. WTF!? It was like 5 min. max. My "copy" button is dissabled in this box... so there is no way to save this before I try to post it. UGH Angry

SOOOOoo frustrating. Regardless, the format looks good... and I'm sure I'll appreciate it all once I get the hang of it and some sleep. So, please pardon my vent.

Sorry. Not the "welcome back" I'm sure anyone was expecting from me, it's just aggravating. Grr. Anyway - lots has been going on here... and I'm not sure what to say, or where to start. So, I think I just won't.

Maybe the safest option in my current mood! [:-] I've been so busy lately, I barely got to check in.. and I've been missing my IDOG fix. Do they make a patch? [8D]

I'm gonna (HOPEFULLY) add my avatar and then go to sleep... the girls say "HI" to everyone and "mom, let's go to bed!"

Anyway - lots has been going on here... and I'm not sure what to say, or where to start. So, I think I just won't.

By that I mean Idog stuff, not 'here' as in my home. Although 'here' too, I suppose! I just mean with the whole idoggers banned, leaving and the new format... etc, etc.

Just thought I should clarify.

Now, to bed FOR REAL! [8|]

Hi Lani...welcome back! Little surprised?? I think we ALL were a bit surprised, cuz we didn't have but a few hours warning that the board would be done for the change over....but wow! They did it quickly and this new format is really cool! Just takes a bit of time to play with it and find it more user friendly!

Lanilj i truly freaked when i first came over to the new board.I had those terrible branched replies and i had to click on each reply to read it,and everything looked so foreign and all.I couldnt get my pics to post and i was damn ready to throw the computer against the wall!Thank goodness for computer savvy 13 year olds,namely my daughter [sm=angel.gif]
However now that i have had time to look around, this board is ok,i'm sure you'll feel the same when you come back with fresh eyes[

Thank you so much for posting this thread! Since last night i have been trying to login. I had no idea our email was our password. I too got no emails even though it said it had sent me one. I even made a new accound but i couldn't validate it because the email was not sent. I managed to email an administrator by following links to the old board and sifting through stuff. I was so stressed! I thought no more i-dog. Thank you so much for posting this thread. Without it i would have never worked out how to login!

Jaime actually did start a thread about changing our passwords. And since you didn't need to be logged in to READ I, computer ignoramous that I am, actually was able to figure it out. With 18,000 plus members I'm not sure that they could have actually sent emails, but it would have been a nice thought......

I think probably anyone that didn't read first and just started a new account will want to access the OLD account and get it reactivated so they can keep the post count, etc. I'm sure the Admin can remove the new account so you can have your older user name, pass word, post count, etc.....

Sooooo, for anyone who is still trying to figure out how to log in...YOUR EMAIL ADDY IS YOUR TEMP PASSWORD. USE THAT TO LOGIN AND CHANGE YOUR PASSWORD TO WHATEVER YOU WANT IT TO BE. [

I also couldn't get logged on. I had no idea of the change either as i had been busy and away from the puter for a few days. I am totally computer ignorant and I tried to open a new account, but it wouldn't let me becausse the e-mail belonged to "me". I finally figured it out to use my e-mail for password.

I want to ad an avatar, but have no idea how to go about resizing a picture. However I do like this NEW look. Now I am seeing if I can add a picture to my post.

What photo program do you have? In photoshop you click on Edit and about half way down it gives you the option of resizing image or canvas...I always to image. Then when the box opens, just type in the first box....I think I used 200 pixels there and it'll adjust the others.

I missed any notice of the change and though there was just a technical problem. Luckily I emailed Brenda and she pointed me in the right direction.

Hey Lani! I was really frustrated the first day too. I did not even try to log in, but just kept going back to the old forum, and managed to find Jamies log in instructions. Then last night I did the new login, but it took me awhile to figure out how to change my password and add an avatar. (I ended up having to turn off my pop-up blocker.)

Now that I am getting used to the new look, and features I really like it. I still have to figure out where those super-cool dog links are kept, so I can copy and paste one for my signature line. (Hint, hint Glenda. I am loving the GSD in your signature line!!)

Hi Lani, glad you made it!

I spent the better part of two days really pissed off because I couldn't upload ANY pictures.

It turns out that if you use a Mac you *have* to use the Microsoft browser to be able to do that. I figured it out, and want to pass the word. If anyone is having a problem uploading to the board and is using Safari, switch to Internet Exploder and you can upload all you want.

Now that I finally have my pics up I am a MUCH happier camper and really like the new features this board has! Did you know you can block peoples' posts if they regularly annoy you? [sm=biggrin.gif] Plus Joel said he's thinking about putting in video capabilities! Woooooo!
