    Halloween and your dog

Does anyone get costumes for their dogs?  If so what has your dog been or what will they be this year?

I am making clown costumes for the dogs, my son and Nina Monkeybutt. I have the patterns and the material,  I just have to get off my rear end and start making them. [:D]

What should I make Harley be this year?  He is a black and white Shih Tzu.  Not sure what to do.  Where can I find patterns for doggie costumes?

Here is my little devil last year.  They have cute inexpensive dog costumes at Target usually.

I bet you could find some patterns online.  Maybe even some free ones!

Indy was Indiana Jones last year and I still have his hat and vest, so he may be that again. Mal... I'm not sure yet. Have thought about making him be 'lassie' for halloween (idea was going to involve a brown fake-fur 'coat') but there's a blue duffle-style coat in one of the pet supply catalogues for like $10- that plus a yellow rain hat and he could be Paddington Bear, which would also be cute. :P I need to think of something really clever though, because our obedience club has a huge halloween party.

Mick dressed up almost every Halloween of his life.  Eventually, we started reusing some of his costumes.  I'm sure I'll forget something, but over the years he was: a clown, bag of garbage, Robin Hood, lifeguard, party animal, surfer, groom, The Great Pumpkin and my all time favorite- a hippy.  Caleb is still too little (and has too much spunk) to really dress up.  I'll probably just put a Halloween bandana on him.

My wife dressed up Presely for our Easter Cards - OH that smy hand! Ok so I MAAAAAAAAAAY have helped.

We are thinking of maybe Yoda -she kind of looks like him don;t ya think?

or if we go out with our friends that have an English Bulldog maybe dressing them like Ponch and John from CHiP's...

I made this flower outfit last year. Took a long time. I just sew, no patterns. I made a soft velvetty outfit with a hood and sewed petals on the hood. I have to use snaps. Trudy doesn't like velcro. She is looking up like a flower in this photo.

Max has a purple witch hat with orange hair and a purple and gold bandanna with spiders on it. He'll wear the bandanna all day, but I'm not sure how long he'll keep the hat on.

Grey has a Zorro costume. I whipped it out the other day, and he was not extremely thrilled about the whole get-up, but he took it like a man.

Fitting their personalities, I thought Dugan should be a Devil this year and Maddie could be an angel. Does anybody have old costumes they would like to get rid of?

Sioux went as a leopard one year.  Sequoyah can do that without a costume LOL, the little speckled monster.
