    Potential New Addition

Yes folks, the Looney Bin may be expanding on Friday. I didn't want to jinx myself, but I can't hold it in anymore...I love this dog!

His name is Tar, and he's a black Lab in our rescue group. Brett and I are meeting his foster dad on Friday evening to see how he works with Brown and Grey, although I'm sure how that will go. Brown will be ridiculously excited, and Grey won't care. Anyway, Tar is young...about 1-1.5 years old, and he was described to me as "as big as Brown, and as goofy as Grey." Enough said there. lol Sooo, if everything goes okay on Friday, we'll bring him home and get him through heartworm treatments, which would have been difficult at his foster home with six other dogs. And I'm pretty sure he'll be a failed foster.[;)]

I've been staring at his picture all weekend, and this morning, I even caught Brett holding Tar's picture next to Brown, although I'm not quite sure why.  So here he is...the last one from the bottom. I'm thinking about changing his name, though...gotta fit in with the color scheme of Brown and Grey.

Tar looks like a fun guy! He's ready to play.

Good luck on Friday. You'll have to let us know what happens. Have you thought of any color scheme names to go with Brown and Grey?
    • Gold Top Dog
He's gorgeous!! The only color scheme names I can think of is "Black" which is pretty generic - or maybe "Charcoal"or "Smoke".  Good luck with him.[:)]

How about Onyx? Jet? Negro (with the Spanish pronounciation!--Naygrow)? Noir? He looks like quite a sweet (but energetic!) boy.
    • Gold Top Dog
Oooooh, I can't believe I didn't think of Onyx or Jet as those were alternate names we used with a black foster kitten (DH called him Jet, but since we were calling his young mama cat Pearl, I liked Onyx).
