    Spoiled Rotten

Jessie is used to getting in the car and being driven to the park for a walk everyday, and going with us on family trips on the weekend to places where we hike. If she's let in the car before we leave, she won't get out because she doesn't want to get left behind. Today I needed to move the car from the driveway to the curb in front of our house. Jessie followed me out the door and hoped in the car too. After moving the car, I opened the door but she wouldn't get out even though I called her three times, and she had already been walked in the morning. I could have went inside and got her leash to get her out but instead I took her for a short ride and when we pulled up in front of the house she hoped right out. I hope C.M. never hears about this.[sm=blush.gif]

Sounds like something I would do with Gizzy. Sometimes she will lay outside next to my car and not move untill she goes for a ride, even if it's to the end of the street and back.[:D]

I'm glad I'm not the only one who does this... i.e., ride them around the block because I don't have the heart to tell them we aren't going on a road trip!  [:D]

At least Jessie got his car ride.

I always feel sorry for Blue when I have to make him get out the car if I'm just going to get something out there. He jumps on the seat looking so happy and then when I tell him get out he gives you the most saddest face. It just breaks your heart.

If Stevie didn't think the ride was long enough, he'd refuse to get out of the car. So sometimes I'd be in the house and Ole would ask, "Where's Stevie?" and I'd point to where we could see him sitting in the driver's seat. [:D]

Eventually I'd convince him to come in, or yep, I'd drive him somewhere and back, LOL!

Um, yeah, doesn't everybody do that? When Boomer decieds it's been too long between car rides he'll get his harness and bring it to me, or if he can't reach it he'll sit right by it and stare at me.

Boy oh boy, our dogs sure have us trained well, don't they? ~L~

When Jessie wants to go for a walk, she'll bring me one of my shoes.

They sure do; I'm glad to know I'm not the only one who has learned their lessons well. [:D]

Cassidy will do the same thing...jump into the car  and be so happy to go for a car ride, but when I tell her to get out if she can't come, she has this very sad look [:(] I hate to tell her to get out! Especially if I'm bringing along the puppy ( who can go into stores and whatnot), but she can't go! She does come out when I tell her, though I have to say it a few times. Poor puppy!!
