Glad to know we're not the only ones who make up songs or replace words in songs for other's that are better because they have to do with our pets.

For some reason my husband and I have taken the song from a comcast commercial that shows cartoon dancing popcorn, candy bar (which gets eaten by a dog in the commercial), and soda pop and have turned it into...

"Jojo the pogo man, everyone loves the pogo man.
    It's jojo the pogo man
Do, dee, do, do, do, pogo man!"

As mentioned before I used to have a cat named lola that I would sing Lola to. You know.
Lola, La, la, la, la, lo la

We don't have comcast here so I haven't seen that commercial. . .it sorta sounds like the cartoon scene from grease. . . is it similar??  Sounds like a cute song for him!

We use the "animaniacs" song for "Barna-beastie-boy" (our cat Barnaby) and we had a previous grey named "Gumby" that we use to change the words to Hank Williams song "jambalaya" and she would get sooo excited when we would sing it to her![:D]

We also had 1 greyhound at the rescue who was a return for biting a little girl, and he had chronic problems with worms and he was there for quite a while so when DH and I would walk him an brush him and give him love and attention every week we would sing "its a shame about ray" by the lemonheads.

    I can't believe I am admitting what a nutbag I am!![8D]

Keep the silly names coming people. .  .I am enjoying reading this thread way too much! [sm=rofl.gif]

Roxie gets off easy; I call her by "Rox", "Roxie Rox", or "Roxie Ann".

Trixie goes by "Trixie Lou", "Miss Lou", and her name.

I have no clue why I added "Ann" and "Lou" to their names.  Just happened.  And strangely enough, I don't call Roxie by "Miss Ann".  Only Trixie is embarrassed that way.  [:D]

Do you sing Police's "Rox Anne" to her.  I know it's about a prostitute, but I used to have a cat named Lola, and I used to sing "Lola" to her all the time - you know the one about the cross dresser.

LOL!  I don't sing it to her, but my mom calls her that sometimes.  I'd forgotten about that ...

Buddy is Buddy Boy, Bud, Boy, Goof, Goofus DaLoofus, Fiber McGee (because he eats leaves, branches, grass)

I was surprised to see him respond to Bud the other day.  I just thought that was a nickname for me.  He will also respond to Boy.  :)

I call both dogs Shorty and Stinker, whenever I feel like it. Some nicknames I just make up on the spur of the moment. For example, if Cassidy is licking an egg off the floor, I could say "What are you doing, egg-face?" [:D] lol Those ones don't stick though.

Cassidy -- Cass, Cassie, Casses, Baby Girl, Sweetheart, Cassidy-dee-dee-dee ( kinda like a Chickadee)

Mirelle -- Rell ( pronounced Ra-yal, as in a rail) Relly, Hunny or Hunny-Mirelle, Dory ( short for adorable, also after Dory  in Finding Nemo [;)]). I call her the little puppy, too.

Cassidy is called the Big Puppy, as I still called her puppy when I got Mirelle, and had to distinguish between the two.

    I call my doberman bubba.
    I call my corso peanut.
