Men are so weird.

So, what is amusing? My personal losses or my reaction to my losses? Or my talking about my losses? Do you like men to be strong and silent?

Ron, I think she was calling you weird because you said you've only cried twice in your adult life. (I cry if the wind blows the wrong way and so do a lot of women). And, then she was laughing at herself for calling you weird.

True, a dog is not a person, but my dogs treat me better than my teenage son! They don't look at me like I'm a big dork when I say something, they look at me adoringly. They WANT to hang out with me, in fact they follow me around from room to room. They aren't too cool for hugs, in fact they LOVE to cuddle. They don't talk back and argue, they just love me unconditionally [

]. Of COURSE I love my son, hormones and all, but at times I enjoy being with my dogs more. The point is, it doesn't matter that they're not human, they steal your heart anyway!

That could be. I think I read dogs better than I read humans. In fact, I know that for a fact. I've been wrong about other humans in drastic ways.

] I can't count the amount of times I've cried in the past month alone, and I was just amused that you've only cried twice in your adult life... I'm really sorry I offended you. I didn't even think about the fact that what I said could easily be taken the wrong way.

I know my dogs are not people... neither is my cat. That is why I prefer them. >^_^< I don't like most people.

I was just corn-fused by your reply. And yes, again, men are weird. Yet, women put up with us anyway. I think it's because we're good for lifting heavy stuff.

Does everyone on this list realize that dogs are not people? Wouldnt everyone be happier with their pet if they didnt humanize it? It makes me sick when I see a person that wont put their sick old dog down because it would be too upsetting. So they let it just lay around and suffer and slowly die. If they considered it a pet that they are responsibile for then maybe they would think of it instead of their own selfishness.

I think for people who don't have kids, there dogs are there kids. If your kids are very sick would you put them down? No, you wouldn't. I think people need to handle sickness and loss in THEIR own way. Just because one person doesn't want to let go right away doesn't make that person evil. Having different opinions' and beliefs is what makes this world go around. It would be mighty boring here if everone thought and did the same.

Thank goodness dogs aren't human, or at least don't act like some humans.

Dogs don't leave humans tied to trees in the back yard. They want to spend time with you.[8D]
Dogs don't drop their humans off on some highway to fend for themselves. Some even help you hunt.[8|]
Dogs don't hold grudges - they wag their tails even for people who think they are the equivalent of a truck, or other property.
Dogs won't put you to sleep if you become incontinent.[

Dogs aren't children - thank goodness, otherwise there'd be no "puppy breath". [

Think of it this way: Hurricane JOSE hits and youre stuck in your attic with your kids and your dog. Which do you kill to feed the others? Of course its a stupid question because a dog is not a person.

You kill the rats in the attic to feed your kids and your dog. If there aren't any rats, tough, we all starve!

I haven't cried since Sadie dawg left me for Rainbow Bridge and that'll be a year next month [
