• This Type of Stuff Makes Me SO Angry**VERY GRAPHIC PICTURES** Stacy Zeidman Posted : 9/1/2006 3:43:17 PM I have been in contact with a woman since 2002 (when I rescued one of my dogs from Greece) and I just can't believe how irresponsible government's are today. The degree of barbarity and inhumane treatment towards these animals simply amazes me. I understand that the U.S. has a ways to go improvement wise however, we don't brutalize our dogs like this (to the extent - there are sickos here yes, but we don't walk outside and see this everyday infront of our homes). This is seen everyday and is particularly common. I remember seeing it while there and couldn't BELIEVE what went on. Thank God for women like Marijo (who is in my signature) and others out there who are trying to fight for ALL animals no matter where they are. If anyone is interested in helping, please view my signature. I am always trying to help no matter what the cause is and lately, I've been focusing on helping Marijo because it's rather draining. How disgusting does someonehave to be to do that? How do those dogs get those gashes on their necks and one is still living!!? How did that happen. • Stacy Zeidman Posted : 9/1/2006 4:16:55 PM Understandable. However, I believe that just because something is extremely graphic or upsetting, doesn't mean awareness shouldn't be brought forth. If everyone felt that these types of pictures should be deleted or not available for people to see, then no one would do anything because no one would know. But whatever everyone wants - I completely understand. Just thought that this helps provide at least something  for these dogs who are the ones experiencing this suffering. In other words, they don't want to pay for spay/neuter programs nor want any part in educating the public. This woman Marijo Gillis can tell you a lot more and she is quite brilliant. I know she meets with the Government, Administer of Foreign Affairs, etc - she is wonderful to talk to. I have pictures of the dog I brought back. This is her with some weight, actually. After two weeks of being with the Vet there. When I found her, she was half her normal weight if that. It doesn't make the problem go away and if everyone thought along those lines, then no one would help. I don't understand that. It upsets me that animal lovers wouldn't want people to see something like this, to bring more awareness to society. I saw much worse and while it made me sick to my stomach, I ended up bringing the dog home. The point is, while many things are disturbing, that is what causes people to ACT and not IGNORE. • Benedict Posted : 9/1/2006 4:28:51 PM Honestly, I wasn't trying to block it out.  I have seen pictures of acts of cruelty just as bad as those linked to from this forum.  My problem was opening the post expecting to find a vent, or a sad story - and getting something else entirely.  Titling a post with something relatively innocuous and then placing pics like that inside is, IMHO, not fair.  Many, many people on this board are active against animal cruelty and foster and rescue dogs who have been subjected to such - that doesn't mean that after a long day they want to see images like that without warning.   Kate 0 LIKE Like Share You have posted to a forum that requires a moderator to approve posts before they are publicly available.
