Help!!

• Help!! Amy P Posted : 9/1/2006 7:02:35 AM Goodmorning, I am new to this sight, i just signed in yesterday, and I was hoping maybe I could get some very very needed help. I just moved to a condo from a house. In the past at the house, I let my dog out in the backyard to use the bathroom, and now I have to put her on a leash or chain to go out, and needless to say she loves walks and thinks she is going for a walk, and gets very excited, and is too busy looking around to go to the bathroom. and then when i leave the condo, she uses my basement as her bathroom. I have tried putting a piece of .... on the lawn to let her know where to go and that isnt working either. • probe1957 Posted : 9/1/2006 9:53:50 AM Welcome to the forum.   What it sounds to me like you have is a dog that isn't housebroken.  There is tons of information here regarding housebreaking.  Use the search function.  Part of the process, that is very likely to be helpful to you, is to crate the dog when you leave.   Another thing that you might consider, for future reference, is to BRIEFLY describe your problem in the subject line.  Something like "HELP" really isn't very helpful.  If you need additional help, I would also suggesting reposting your question in the "Training" forum under the subheading "Housetraining..." 0 LIKE Like Share You have posted to a forum that requires a moderator to approve posts before they are publicly available. • greg petry Posted : 9/1/2006 10:38:42 AM it sounds like she used to go to the door and tell u she had to go ut or maybe she ahd a dog door but know u have to take her out. I think u should set up certain times each day that u go out with her to go to the bathroom.
