Well Spike is about 18mths, Cj is like 6mths. Spike is a Great Dane and Cj is a Pressa Canario. I have had them both since they were 8wks. Spike was my dream dog. I have always loved Danes since before I can remember well I tried to adopt but they would not let me have one because I had never had a giant breed dog before and our house does not have a fence the boys are walked to use the potty. Anyway they said no and my boyfriend took me to a breeder and I sat on the floor and all the pups were playing with each other not paying me any attention and Spike stopped playing walked over and curled up in my lap and went to sleep and that was all she wrote he slept all the way home. We got really lucky cause the dog (Cronic) we had at the time was adopted and he was used to fight by the people who originally had him and was not friendly with anything with fur but he took to Spike like he was a mother dog. About 3 mths after we got Spike, Croniccrossed the bridge and Spike seemed very lonely so we started looking for another baby and this one was my boyfriends dream dog a pure breed Pressa Canario it took us over a year to find the right breeder cause they are kind of rare and another couple weeks watching the movies of the pups and carrying around all their pics with us till we finally picked one.The breeder was in Georgia. We picked him up from the airport and as soon as we opened the crate he was all kisses and when we got him home we were nervous at first cause Spike is so big and he was so small we thought he would be afraid but no fear in my baby boy he walked right over to Spike kissed him and that night snuggled up to Spike to sleep of course Spike was kind of confused cause Cj was also trying to nurse from him to. Spike kept running away.
But that is how my family came to be.
Wow I never realized how long winded I am.LOL
