I've just spent about 30 minutes reading the posts on this thread. I wish I could have read the original thread. I have two Shih Tzu fur kids too. The first one, Charlie was the best puppy ever. He was so easy to house train, the only issue I had with him was that he was a picky eater. My husband and I decided we loved Charlie so much we needed to have another one. So we got Duke from the same breeder and oh my gosh was I stressed out for about two months! First of all, he LOVES to eat his poop! I was so repulsed when I first saw him do this, I went straight to idog and posted a thread. I learned that this is normal in some puppies and especially with this breed. He would also SCREAM at me with this ear piercing horrible scream that I've never heard any dog make before when I tried to pull something from his mouth or when I tried to put ear drops in his ears (he had terrible ear infections the first week we had him) or brush his hair. He pooped and peed all over the house and I thought I'd never be able to train him. I was ready to rip my hair out. Anyway, it took some time, but I absolutely adore him now. He stopped the screaming thing, he is now fully house trained. I have to watch him when he goes poop to make sure he doesn't eat it, but he is so loving and sweet. I'm really happy we stuck it out with him.
Thank you for reading the thread. [

] I saw your other Tzu on the nutrition forum I think... the black Tzu on your signature is ADORABLE too!
For me it was the same that my first Shih Tzu was easier, except that pretty much my only issue with Gingerbread is that HE was the poop eater. It eventually got to the point that he comes and "tells" me when he's gone, I clean up the poop and give him a treat.
But anyway, I'm curious, when your guy starting screaming at you, what did you do? I'm not exactly sure how to handle it.
