We have been keeping Static, our new kitten, isolated from the others. He got neutered, tested for the usual kitty diseases and then vaccinated. After a rough night the other night, he has vastly improved. His cries from the bathroom have caused me to lock up the other two cats and send the dogs outside that way Static can explore. Last night during his exploring, he kept teasing the dogs who were looking in from the outside. Static would try to paw them through the door and window, and then he would run away out of their eyesight. He kept this teasing play up for about 10 minutes. Bubbles kept wagging her tail and whining at him. Shaun just kept up her Pekingese smile that I love so much.
Today, Static met Bubbles face to face. Bubbles learned that even kittens do not want to play with her. It was so funny to watch the almost grown puppy try to get the kitten to understand she only wanted to play with him. Bubbles kept bowing, whimpering, and excitedly barking. Static only looked at her with utter disdain and aggravation. I think he was saying to Bubbles, "Hey! You are ruining my playtime. I only have a certain amount of time to explore and look cute for the humans before they put me back in that room."
Static is our only male among the pets, so it is very weird trying not to say "she" when referring to him.
