Bailey was VERY good today...

Just a little thing Bailey did today that I was very happy about... So I thought I'd share...
I don't know if I've
osted about it on this forum, but Bailey used to be VERY protective of his food when I first got him. I found out the hard way, and got my arm torn up pretty bad. But I worked with him, when my parents wanted him PTS, and I fixed it. Now, I can go up to him any time and take the food without worrying at all about him, not even a growl or stare, he'll just sit and wait for me to put the food back down. You'd never be able to guess he ever had a problem with it. I've never really tested to see how he would re act to someone else besides me taking his food though, but I didn't bother because he never gets fed around people (besides me and my dad)
So today, I was walking him to the park like I always do, every day. There is 3 fields next to eachother, there was a baseball game in one, so I let him run around outside the park (Because there really isn't supose to be dogs in the park...)
So on the way back I go by the baseball game and my friend is there, and all her family, becuase he dad is the coach. There was this party after with the team and there was lots of food. I was just talking with my friend, and all her little sisters were running around + her brothers (timmy(3) danny (10) Emily(7, i think?) and Mackenzie (5) ) Plus a lot of other kids too. There was pizza there, and a lady asked if Bailey could have some. He doesn't normaly get people food, but sometimes he'll get it as a treat, so he gets the crust. Hes standing next to me eating it, and then this little girl ( couldn't be more than 2 years old) came running up to Bailey and hugged him right next to his head. If I had seen her coming I would have done something, but I didn't even notice her. But Bailey, didn't do anything. He even let the girl pick up the food (She was trying to feed him) So I was very happy about that. Remembering what he did to me, I could only imagin what he
could
do to the girl, if he really wanted to. Of course I was pretty pissed at the father who just let his little daughter run up to a strange dog without asking, espescialy while it's eating, But I was to happy with Bailey to get that upset about it. I did tell him to ask before he lets his kid pet a strange dog, and hes very lucky that my dog wasn't aggresive. He didn't seem to have a clue though[8|]
Okay all done... sorry for the long post[&:]

Awww! aren't you so proud of the work you did with him??? It really shows you how much you can teach a dog and that they can always be taught.
Good job [
