Dog size

If a female black lab mix is 45 pounds at 6 1/2 months old, does anyone have any idea how big she will be full-grown? Thanks!

If you know how much she weighed at 3 months, you can double that to come up with an approximate adult weight for most breeds (except the Toys and Giant breeds). Our Mick was a Lab/English Setter mix. At 3 months, he was 36 1/2 pounds. At 2 years, he was 71

ounds.

I had an interesting experience with my previous dog. A friend had to find a home for him or surrender him to a shelter because he outgrew their young children. I didn't want him going to shelter, so I asked how big he was now, at age 13 months? Always been told he was a lab mix (he was all black), I though he'd get up to 70lbs., they told me he was at 80 but the vet said he was done growing.
Yeah right! By age 2 1/2 he got to 150lbs, turned out

orkchop was a Great Dane(?mix?) according to my vet at the time.

My dog is a male Husky/Lab mix and he just hit 62 pounds at 3 years old. So, it may depend on the mix of your dog. Black and Chocolate Labs can range from 60 to 90 pounds, depending on the breed line. Some Yellow Labs can be over 100 pounds.

I have always found labs really hard to determine how big they will get. I know 2 people that each got a lab pup from the same litter that had a 15-20 lbs difference. it might have been diet or something else but that seems a little extreme. maybe the one was just a milk hog as a littermate!

My younger brother and I, from the same mother and father, are different. He's 1/2 an inch shorter and skinny as a rail and I as big as a football player.

got any pics? Mine is a lab/great dane mix - he's 1 and about 95lbs his growth is slowing but still going.............

its all guess work but my lab mix was 69lbs at @ 6.5 mos - he's 95 at @12.5 mos

Sorry it took so long to reply, my friends daughter had to go to the hospital yesterday evening, trouble breathing. They think its either a severe cold or sinus infection that got out of hand, I had a long night & day.
Anyway, I'll try to dig up a few pics I can scan for you, I had this dog 10 years ago when I lived up north.
