flaky nose?

We noticed the top part of shadows nose has started to look flaky or crusty? It's a small patch where his nose meets his snout. Is this normal? A little unsure of what to do, please help.

It doesn't sound like it's anything to be too alarmed about, sometimes there nose just gets a little dry in the weather. have you noticed it being dry around your area? you don't have it posted on where your from. sometimes when they get into something like dirt ro clay, it makes them look dry and crusty.

Thank you! Yes, we are from New Jersey and it hasn't rained in a long time. Maybe that's it.

A little bag balm might help. You can get it at any drug store. Since it's originally meant to be used on animals (it's a balm for sore udders) it doesn't have any perfumes or strange ingredients in it - it's pretty much just pure vaseline. And, as an added bonus, you can rub what's left on your hands in since it makes a great hand softener.
