Pet Friendly Hotel in Pittsburgh, PA

Hello all, I'm fairly new to this forum but have posted a couple of miscellaneous replies here or there.

Here is my problem and I am hoping someone knows of either a website or a hotel/motel that is pet friendly (especially, for two pets).  We live in Harrisburg, PA but are traveling to Pittsburgh at the end of October for a wedding.  It will be only an overnight stay but we would like to find a place that is amenable to two pets, not just one.  We'd rather not board the pets as we don't do this unless we absolutely have to.  Thanks for any input.

Hi Sue! I've found that typically Red Roofs, Super 8's, and Motel 6's welcome pets (and more than one). Often Best Westerns and Day's Inn will too. They all have easy to access search engines on the web, you may want to give them a try. If they don't say whether they're pet friendly or not, you can call.

    Also there are some sites:

    http://www.petfriendlyhotelsandtravel.com/

Give these a try too if the hotel search engines don't help. Good luck, and y'all have fun!

When we go home to Michigan alot and we stay at the Amerisuites with Charlie.  Not only are the very pet friendly, the rooms are a little bigger so he can run around, they have a fridge to keep food, bottled water, and have a free breakfast buffet, etc.  Plus, they (at least the one we go to) only charge $10 a night for the pet.

When we called around, a lot of places charged $75 for up to 7 nights even if you were only going to be there one night, which for us was sometimes more than the cost of the room.  I looked at the site and there are two in the Pittsburgh area (one at the airport and one near Cranberry?).  It doesn't say they allow pets, but I checked the hotel we usually stay at and they don't either so you will probably have to call the hotel.

Thank you.  I will investigate these links.  Very helpful.  I have also heard that altho it may say they are pet friendly online, you need to call to make sure that their policies haven't changed.

I THINK that all of the Best Westerns are pet friendly.

GREAT!  OK I'll check them out too.  Some of these are only welcoming one pet so I'll keep trying.  With all this info, I'm sure I'll find something.  Thank you all.

I was researching this same question for my trip west. Motel 6's website say they are all pet friendly except where state laws prohibit it; I imagine it's the same for other pet-friendly chains.

I live in Pittsburgh so if none of those links are any help, let me know and I will investigate the hotels around here. Are you looking to stay in downtown Pittsburgh or in a suburb?

I live about 15 minutes from downtown Pgh.  The Holiday Inn in Forest Hills allows pets, although I'm not sure how many.  It is right off of the parkway entrance to downtown and it would take about 15-20 minutes to get into town.  Here is the link:
