Now that is a good dog. I can't belive that guy would let a 2 year old go out walking by herslelf, even with a protective dog, so many things could happen.

I wonder what happened to the dog. Did it go to the mother? a shelter? what? They didn't say.

I was at a friend's house the other night and her neighbor's four YO was walking their dog--an intact male Pittie who loves everyone, but is as strong as an ox! I stopped the boy and the dog and petted Mac for a moment. What kind of idiots allow a four YO to wander around unattended? My friend said that the rest of the family went to the park and left him alone to wander the neighborhood! Arghhh...I hate people sometimes.[:@]

What a good puppy! That is truly my ideal dog. But hey, parents can be buttheads and I used to see a lot of little kids walking big dogs down the street. When I was a kid I used to walk my neighbors black lab/doberman mix who was about the size of a Great Dane. He was perfectly well behaved on leash, but still you never know!

I was in Petco a while back and this woman was letting her 8 yr old daughter and 4 yr old son take turns wandering around the store walking (actually being dragged by) a 4 or 5 month old Golden. The mother literally was paying NO attention--she was usually clear on the other side of the store. Someone could have walked out of there with both kids and the dog and she wouldn't of known the difference until it was too late.
