During the last of the winter months (I don't remember when exactly) I took Bailey for her first walk. It had been very cold and neigher Bailey nor I had been outside much lately. She was about six...or so months old. We found an old dog hanging around between two houses and just walking around. Sometimes this begal would wonder into the road or just looked sort of lost. I noticed there had been a chain in the front yard but it was broken and I assumed it belonged to the old dog. I stood there for a moment debating if I should knock on the doog and ask the peopl if this was their dog. Being shy and having the Bailey with me I really did not want to do this. I stood around for a moment and then decided I would keep an eye on this dog and decide what to do if he was still there when I came back down the street. When we did come back, another dog (mid sized I would say) ran from what seemed to be the same back yard as the old dog had come from. This other dog ran to us and began sniffing at Bailey. I got a little scared so I picked her up and debated even more about what to do. While I did that ANOTHER dog came running at us! At this point I decided I was going to take Bailey home. I didn't want her to get hurt by any of these dogs...and although they seemed friendly I didn't want to be hurt by them myself! As we walked away a kid came out and began calling the other dogs. I was glad someone cared enough about them to come and get them (especially the old dog!)Still, parents need to watch their children and people need to watch their dogs! If you can not keep track of three dogs you shouldn't have three!
