Good day,
My name is Raymond Fong and I'm thinking of adopting a dog. I've grown up loving pets (I grew up with hamsters, dogs, birds, and turtles) and I currently own a hamster, a water turtle, and a fish (yes, one lonely fish, it's a feeder fish but someone, has managed to survive for 4 months while 29 other fishes have fallen prey to the turtle... I call her Super-Fly now.)
My girlfriend and I are thinking of getting a dog (or more...) and I am putting forth my due diligence researching. I've decided that 1) I will *NOT* buy a dog from the petstore, instead, vouching to adopt from a shelther and 2) I *cannot* afford the time and energy required for a puppy, so I am thinking of an adult dog.
Both my girlfriend and I are very busy, we both have full time jobs, doing outside activities (she does hula while I do [link

I came on this forum after a month of researching online, taking "dog quizzes", visiting a shelter, talking with people in my search to address our concerns.
I hope through my research and with the help of you folks, I can finally come to a conclusion (even if that means holding off on owning a dog until later when we have more time in our schedule). So when you see my post, pardon my 'noobiness'

)
I'd truly appreciate it if you can offer any advice.
