kitten mills??

I dont post on this board because I dont have a cat, my only cat was a Siamese mix who died a year ago.

But I was just wondering if there are such things as Kitten Mills? I know there are puppy mills, where most pet shops purchase pups, but what about the cats they have?

Yeah! Same situations.

They also have hamster mills, rat mills, guinea pig mills... etc.

I will NEVER buy another animal from a pet store again, ever.

and there are also kitten BYBers....my Missy came from one. She originally came from a local "breeder" of Siamese cats - one female who had a litter EVERY heat!!!
An elderly woman bought Missy from this breeder and then gave her up to get a puppy [:@]
I met this breeder and every kitten she was unable to sell went to a pet shop.
She couldn't have cared less what happened to the offspring of her queen and stud.
I know many reputable breeders and now realize the difference. When I met this woman she remembered the elderly woman having bought one of her kittens but she showed absolutely no concern about the welfare of where missy had gone. But she did ask me how much I paid for Missy!!! Which I didn't pay anything - she seemed relieved on that.
