We lost our sweet little Stoney cat to a tumor this past Tuesday. She had just taken ill a couple of weeks back, having trouble having bowel movements. An x-ray and then exploratory surgery was done. A tumor was found against her pelvic bone and around the large intestine. It appeared to have spread to the lymph nodes also. They said that they couldn't even do the surgery because of where it was and we would have had to take her to Cornell. The vet said they would most likely have to crack the pelvic bone to get to the tumor. We would have only been buying her a very short amount of time and so we just had her never wake up from the exploratory surgery. I've hardly even gotten over our dog that we lost so suddenly to a tumor last June and now one of our cats. She was a sweety and we will miss her dearly. I guess I can say that she had a great life and a relatively long one as we got her when she was around 6 months old and we had her for 11 1/2 years. I've had them live until 16 and 17 though.
Sweet Stoney. Oh, just to let you know, she was an inside cat only except when out under complete supervision.
The second picture is her doing her famous little sit on her hip trick.
