    Respiratory problems - input needed?

I purchased an Exotic Shorthair from a breeder two weeks ago - and he is adorable.  The breeder warned me that he could get an upper respiratory infection and he has - she also provided me with Clavamox (antibiotic) in case he did get sick.  he is sneezing, snuffling and has mucus in his nose, but he eats, plays and uses his litter box - I called my vet and they said it will end in 7-10 days.  Does anyone out there have experience with kitten respiratory problems?

tons...nearly every foster I get ends up with a URI
you can steam up your bathroom and put the kitty in there to aid with his breathing BUT no longer than 20 minutes.
You could also use a vaporizer but don't use any Vicks in it.
It's quite normal and will pass, most likely without the antibiotic if he's healthy and has a strong immune system.
Just be sure he continues to eat and drinks. If his nose gets too blocked up he might stop eating so really watch for that.
