Pardon my ignorance..
But how does non-clumping cat litter work? I mean, sure, the poop might be easy to scoop out, but what about urine? Is it still "scoopable?
Thanks [

Well the clumpable litter is more of a super absorbant clay where as the non-clumpable litter is a more quartz type of mineral. Kinda like compairng poring water onto pebbles vs. poring water onto dirt. The clumpable little absorbs the urin and sticks together in a clump, if alowed to dry it fuses together. The clumpable kind can be scooped out with a normal scooper where the only way to remove the urin with a non-clumpable litter is to compleatly change the litter out.

You can use a non-sifting scoop to take out just the wet spot in the litter. I switched to chicken feed for cat litter and it doesn't seem to be clumping well for me. But I am getting good and just scraping the dry litter around and scooping out the wet areas. I use more litter, but the stuff is so cheap and flushes so easy that I don't mind!
