Im getting another cat!

So im getting another cat. DH doesnt want me getting another dog, so when the chance came to get another kitty I jumped. Lizzie has been a doll with our current cat, I think shes still a bit fearful but at least they tolerate eachother. Laika (moms dog) is the one who will NEVER visit my home. Just yesterday she stood at the screen door and growled at Ceci...no no.

But anyway, I believe this girls name is 'Sammy' and she is a Snowshoe or Siamese mix. Shes the result of a very irresponsible and uncaring owner. This girl was the pet of the shelter directors sister. Shes about 5-6 months old and her former owner no longer wanted her because she thought she was going into heat. Did I mention her brother is the shelter director?

I dont know how people can be cruel, I mean the shelter charges 45 dollars for fixing a pup, and a bit less for kittens. Being she is the directors sister, you'd think she'd jump at the chance to spay the cat at little or no cost. But anyway, Sammy is now in an indoor/outdoor enclosure with a few other cats and she is terrified. You can tell just by looking at her.

Shes being spayed today and she is going to her foster mom on Saturday. If she is settled and not out of it from the surgery she can come home on Sunday. If not she'll be home next week. Im so excited!

I just wanted to give another update on 'Sammy'. She was spayed on Friday, so we decided to hold her at her foster moms home for another week or so. Ana (foster mom) tells me that she was absolutely terrified, probably because of the shelters hectic enviroment.

She did have some fleas which were treated, and she has a slight eye infection which is being cleared with antibiotics. Shes good with other cats. Ana tells me she is going to be a big one! Shes 6 months old and already she looks big, she is a little skinny but with me that will soon change.

If everything goes well this lovely girl will be home by Saturday!
