OK, DH went to get a coffee and came out to find a little cat, I'd say around six months old or so standing next to his truck. The cat was wet and shivering and extremely friendly. He/she (I don't know!) has a soft red buckle collar on--sort of like the temporary ones breeders use when they have a liter.
Anyway, I called the shelter and they said I could bring her in. But, now I'm wondering if we shouldn't just leave our information with them and keep the cat here??
I want to do the right thing. We have no intention of keeping the cat ourselves. But, we want to help it out to hopefully find the right owner. And, if not we have friends who would be able to give it a great home.
It ate ravenously when I fed it and drank too so I know it's been out for a long time.
It must of got out by accident or got lost when it got out. I don't know but it's definately not a feral cat.
What should I do??
