    Meeko's gone

We got the cutest kitten from the RSPCA a month ago and she was an indoor cat as we live on a busy road. She has never been outside unless she was with us. Anyway Sunday night she was inside, but somehow got out and we heard a cat fight, we saw a small cat take off and realised it must have been her once we couldn't find her. There is a bully cat around the neighbourhood. We have put notes in letter boxes with her picture and notices in local shops and called the pound. We are all concerned as she is only 3 mths old and so timid and cute. I feel terrible that she is outside afraid and maybe doesn't even know her way home or is scared of the big cat. She is microchipped so I hope someone honest finds her and we get her back. My DH didn't want animals and she is all we have, it took a year to convince him we needed a cat. I'm on this site as I love dogs so much and love hearing all the positive things you all do with yours. I'd love to hear any positive stories about cats being returned. She really is cute so someone might decide they want to keep her. So long as she is happy I guess, although we all miss her terribly.
I would send a photo but cant figure how to load it.
    Thanks for listening.

Here are some photos of "Meeko", I guess to some she is just a plain cat, to us she is a very special addition to our family and things are just not the same with her gone. My 13 year old daughter was in tears tonight, my 11 son is very quiet and my 19 yrs old daughter is walking the streets with her boyfriend. we all miss her terribly.
I hope you can see the pictures.

She is adorable and looks much like one of my cats.  Cats do have a way of sneaking out and we just had that happen with one of the kittens we had hand raised.  He was about 4 months old a the time.  He was gone for a few days when one of my grandchildren's friends, who live in my neighborhood recognized him and brought him home.  We were very lucky.  He has not even attempted to go outside since then.  He about 8 months old now.  Having had many cats in my lifetime I will tell you that amazingly enough many of them do find their way back home, even months later.  I had an adult cat leave for about 7 months and then show up again.  It was amazing.  So keep the faith and keep looking.  Your children will be your best bet here.  Have them comb the neighborhood, ask neighbors and friends to keep a lookout.  Put up posters with her picture on them.  Go by the vet offices near yours and give them a poster.  Also check with your Humane Society there and any other shelters and leave them a poster.  All this will help in finding your sweet kitty.
