She's home!

    She's home!

Pita's back from her spay and doing well- the vet told me to feed her when I got home and she cleaned out her bowl. Should I be concerned about her eating too much?

Pocket's been really good and giving her space.

Here's an "after" pic for you all- she looks super tiny now!

whew... that must have been a ruff day for her.  I would not feed her any more then the vet suggest.  For now feed her in small portions so her tummy doesn#%92t get upset and her body can adjust to its new shape.  That battle wound is quite large, it must have been hard on the vet as well but it#%92s what needed to be done.

Glad to hear the updates on pita, now she#%92s free to live a life of love and happiness with you![:D]

Poor little girl. She is so pretty! I agree, small portions a few times a day.Make sure she drinks plenty or give her some good tasty broth.

She is adorable. I'm suprise she even ate anything it took 3 days for my boys to finally eat anything once they where fixed. Just give small portions and make sure she drinks plently.

Thanks guys for the advice- the little piglet went straight to her food bowl as soon as I let her out of the cat cage hehe. She'll be getting lots of little meals and lots of water [:)].

She doesn't seem to be too affected by the op, which I'm happy about! I'm constantly surprised by how tolerant she is-  just before ;Pocket and her were snuggling on a cushion before and Pocket lay her head on top of Pita, squashing half her body! Poor Pita...

I was going to just keep her inside until she's fully recovered, but she's scared of the litter box [&:]. I was worried she'd run away as soon as I brought her home but she seems to not want to leave the garden so I'll just be supervising her when she goes out.

She is darling and I'm glad she's showing no ill effects from the op.  I thought I was going to have to make the same choice for a stray I took in, but it turned out that this very young cat (really a kitten) rather then being pregnant had already had a litter and the other kitten with her was not her littermate, but likely (very) her offspring.  So they both got fixed and ended up much loved in a home with friends!

Pita is just so sweet - I'm glad she and Pocket are so close!

Thanks for your replies guys!  [:)]

I was a little worried about how she was going to cope with such a big physical change, but she seems to be happy as larry! Stitches come out on Monday and then she'll be good as new.

Here's a pic of her and Pocket snuggling. They're SO cute.
