    Doss Adventure

Or "How I tried to kill Titanium Grammy"

T Grammy and I loaded up the boys and went to our other property.

We have permission to also ride the neighboring property. So I thought we should just ride the fence lines around the perimeter. Shortly into the ride we started going uphill. It didn't seem too bad until we got to the top.

T Grammy decided to scout a better way down. But no luck we had to lead the horses back down the way we came.

Happily she didn't quit on me. [sm=wink3.gif]
So we decided to ride back on our property where the terrain is much nicer.

We took a break to cool off and have a picnic lunch complete with ants. And headed out again.
In the background you can see the dreaded hill.

Our lawn jockey held our horses while we took another break. It was probably about 95 degrees.

She was smiling for the last picture so it couldn't have been too bad!

She assured me she had a great time and would ride again for more adventures!
    To be continued.....

that looks like such a perfect day...i have always loved watching horses, but always have been a bit nervouse around them..

Great pictures! It looks like you had a fun ride!

Someone once told me that you shouldn't try to kill your riding partners. [;)]

Before I move on, I must say I was mystified while reading the whole post.  Did I miss, somewhere, why you call her Titanium Grammy?  ... just a loving nickname?  Thought I'd ask!  :)

GREAT photos!  Looks like a lot of fun and those horses look wonderful, neither of them miss a meal, hmm??? :)  heheheheh!!  Oh, I wish I could go riding with you guys, you always look like you have such a wonderful time.  Although, it does look pretty damned hot!  But, I guess that is par for the course summer-time, Texas :)

Wonderful, MK!  Looks like a great property too!  Congratulations!  [:)]

PS - I wonder who would advise Shirley "that you shouldn't try to kill your riding partners."?? [8D][8D][8D]

She is Titanium Grammy over on the horse forum but she never posts. [sm=sad.gif] I have been trying to get her to post over here for a long time. Maybe if we all chant... WE WANT T-GRAMMY! [sm=dance.gif] WE WANT T-GRAMMY! [sm=dance.gif] WE WANT T-GRAMMY! [sm=dance.gif]

She is a grammy and she has titanium cages in her back due to surgery. But she rides![sm=clapping hands smiley.gif]

Lani - But it is a dry heat. [sm=wink.gif] I'll take a couple weeks of this any day over 6 months of Minnesota winter! Come ride anytime, we have accomodations and a horse for you. Maybe we could even get Hill to come up and join our posse!

I am alive despite M K's attempt to do me in!  Dillon told me to tell M K that he is not a mountain horse before we go on another trail ride.

An adventure is a catastrophe that didn't happen.  It was a wonderful adventure.  We had so much fun.

    Glad to meet you all.
