    Howdy Howdy!

New to the group so I thought I'd introduce myself.  I'm Teresa and hail from the Land of Enchantment state.  I have JRT's and raise miniature Horses, jsut love 'em! [:D], They are my hobby though, but fun. My little stud is trick trained and also trained to pull a cart. LOL I've got two little mares, one of which is due any day, (I think she's just gonna get bigger and explode, lol), and a little mini donkey gelding that is just here. LOL

Hubby and I live out on a 300 section cattle ranch, that runs Black Angus and Brangus cattle. There are also 2 other separate ranches that average out to about 300 sections a peice also. One runs the ranch remuda of horses.  Our emplyer is also hailed for recieving the best of the remuda award in 1999 an award given byt he AQHA strictly to working ranches that produce high quality working cow horses. As a quirk of this we do get our fair shair of young uns to start, the fillies are either sold or put back in the brood mare band, and the guys get all the gelding colts for ranch horses.  PResently he's got 6 ranch fillies that he's riding and will be sold in Jan at Ft. Worth.

In addition to that, we've got 5 head of personal QH's, one is my little PMU colt that was a Christmas present from Hubby year before last. He's gonna be a looker and have a good set of legs on him!

Add to that a 'herd' of hubby's working cowdogs that are a mix of catahoula/redbone/curr/lacey/ and touch of pit and that's us.

OH can't forget my little bottle baby boer goat that's not sure if he's a dog or horse. LOL

And we'll be adding our first human child to the mix in October. LOL

Yep it's quite a zoo around here, but it's home to us and we love it!

Hope to be able to meet other doggy/horsey people on here!

Howdy back atcha! Glad you are here! Sounds like an amazing zoo you have.
I'm a hundred miles to either San Antonio or Austin. We have rescue Danes. And I have 2 horses. Tonto, a red roan blanket Appy. He was badly injured last year and I am just getting him restarted. And Jet is a Palomino.

Thanks for the Welcome! Danehaven I know Harper TX! Hubby grew up all in that area and he's got fam all over creation down there. LOL Sure is pretty country too! Always SO green and stuff. Did I forget to mention I'm a native Texan? LOL Born and bred W Texan just 'temporarily' in NM. LOL The Drought and bunny huggers have wiped out lots of ranches down there.

Appylady thanks, lol it's pretty big we are one of the 3 camps here on the whole ranch, and are actually on the ranch where they found the Roswell Alien stuff. Haven't seen any though, lol more alien looking people than real aliens. LOL
Most of the waters are checked in a pickup, but it's great to have the space to ride all day if you want to.  Great for putting the miles on a young horse too.
