    Adding to the herd

Well, with my daughter having bought her little filly in September, we decided daddy may as well join us on our rides.  Today I closed a deal on Happy, she is a Hancock bred horse that will babysit my non horsey husband so he can ride with us on occasion :)  I am looking forward to many hours spent in the saddle with the whole family... son and his daughter and my own 10 yr daughter already spend lots of time with the horses.  It will be nice to have my husband along once in a while.  So with no futher ado...Happy

WOW! Darla, He is a gorgeous looking boy! How old? Will we get to see the family on horseback photo? I have yet to get my hubby up.

Darla!  She's gorgeous!! I know your opinion of palomino's is pretty low, but she certainly is a looker!!

You never did tell us about your other camping trips this past season.  We need to hear about those!! ... we also want more pictures [:D]  How's that little buckskin filly doing, too?  And your new paint?.. the training on your roan?  I'm sorry, i've forgotten their names, but not about them!

    Yay, the HorseHaven family grows!

LOL... the pali is not rated low... just not my favorite color.  i have never been a color shopper i tend to ride a good horse so this one fits the bill in that catagory though brian thinks she is pretty easy on the eye.   so we got lucky.  happy is 18 yrs old and i think a perfect age for my husband who has only ridden with me a handful of times.
chief my paint has turned out to be a perfect match for me.  he has lots of go and can quiet right down so we are working out well.  heidi went to a very good friend of mine in kansas.  i loved that little roan girl but found out i didn't have time to take her training any further.  my son has since moved his horses where i keep mine so i am able to get out there more.  i can work my horses while my granddaughter is playing with hers but that was not the case this summer so ...  the little buckskin filly has officially been named tinkerbells pixidust.  we are having some trouble with her registration... grrr~  seems the mare was in with two different stallions so now we have to have her dna tested.

to top it all off.... my nephew was on my computer (i never let anyone on this one) and he lost all my pictures!!!  i normally get them sent over to my other harddrive but i was being lax and since i have two other computers on line i figured i didn't have to be in a hurry....

Oh no!  All your pictures!? I've had that happen. ... I was sick.  I feel for you, Darla.  That's so rough, all those memories... ack!  Well, I guess it's a good time to start taking more! :)

I'm glad you found a good home for your roan and things are working out so well with Cheif.  Tinkerbell, CUTE!  I hope the registration eventually becomes easier.  How's Happy fitting in?  Done much riding with her yet?  18 is a great age for a first timer.  Been there, done that... and will teach you how to do it, too!  [:)]

I want you to come to the mainland!!!  I would love to ride with you and meet Stryder.  I love what I see of him ...
Happy is not home yet... Just paid for.  I am either going to pick her up in two weeks or they have friends who will meet me with her.  I bought her from the same people Chief came from and I have kept in contact with Leslie, so when I saw Happy on her website I thought a phone call was in order.  I am anxious about having my husband join us for a ride once in a while :)
Anytime you want to share Stryder pictures I would be happy to look at him :)

Darla, I would LOVE to meet you and your "herd"!  I'll be moving sometime in the Spring or early Summer.  .... maybe I'll have to come find my new horse out in the Midwest... and make a layover for a ride [:D]   Sounds like palominos grow on trees there! lol

I'm sure your hubby will have a great time on rides... my bigger concern is that he won't want to get off Happy  [8|]  I certainly wouldn't, she's a beautiful lady!

LOL, I'm always happy to share pictures!  I'll try to get some shots of Stryder this weekend... I'll probably have pictures of someone if not Styder.  My friends wants shots of them riding at the beach.  So, I'll have something tropical by Monday, should the weather agree!

    Thanks again!
