Summer tv

    Summer tv

O.K. I don't have cable so the summer tv schedule is even worse. There is nothing for me to watch. I don't watch a lot of tv, but there are times when I would like to and nothing is ever on! So a couple weeks ago, I caught an episode of "So You Think You Can Dance" and I watched some of it before I changed the channel. It didn't captivate me at the time. But then I caught it again, when there was nothing else on, and I watched a whole episode. Now I'm hooked. I'm not sure if it's because there's nothing else on or because I really like the show. I don't know.

What do you all watch during the summer (cable or regular tv)?

I think there's a new 4 week show based on Stephen King novels starting tonight. I can't remember the channel but it's called "Nightmares & Dreamscapes" ... and USA has new episodes of *The Closer* and *Monk* if you like those. I usually wind up watching lots of L&O reruns.[:D]

We only get NBC and a very fuzzy CBS, but I am *hooked* on America's Got Talent. And I don't even like those kinds of shows. [:D]  I'll watch Last Comic Standing in the background, but they take way too much non-comedy time to make it Must See TV for me.  That's pretty much it.[&:]

Joyce, I'm pretty sure that the Steven King one is on TNT.

I too watch a ton of L&O reruns, Without a Trace reruns....Rescue Me is in a new season as is 4400 and....oh crap...the one about John Smith set in Bangor ME...the dude in the coma for six years who wakes up with physic abilities...that's pretty good.

We don't have cable here either.  I have just joined Netflix for the summer, maybe longer if it works out.  And that gives us a movie to watch a couple night sa week...other than that, you're right nothing is on.  Although, I do love Friends so I re watch the series throughout the summer.

I have satellite TV too... cable internet tho.

Oooo Solitary is goood!  I KNOW without a doubt I would win that show lol.  I dont usually think that about shows but thats a mental thing and a "give up" thing.  I so want to go on that show!  Although not be on tv lol so I wont, but still...

DH and I get a kick out of watching "Next" on MTV (so retarded you have to laugh) ... um... "How its Made" is cool.  The Science channel is usually good... My talent is finding stuff to watch when there is nothing, lol.  I cant wait for the Sopranos, Desp Housewives and Greys Anatomy to come back... those are the only shows I try to watch.

Glenda - *The Dead Zone*- I like that one too. And of course, I can't forget my soaps.  I can thank my Grandmother for getting me hooked on those.  She used to listen to them on the radio after she came to live with us when I was about 3.[:D]

right now i am pretty caught up with watching the tour de france on oln. it takes up the whole primetime viewing time, so i am good for most of the month. right after the tour they have been showing a pool tournament which i have become kinda hooked on.

we also like watching the dead zone. glad there is some new shows on in the summer and not just re-runs.

i am anxiously awaiting college football season though. i love thurday night football, and football all day on saturday! we are also getting nfl sunday ticket again this season. thank god my wife is a football fan! i have been trying to talk her into the espn game plan for college football, but so far it's a no go. with keith jackson only commentating west coast games now, we hardly ever get to see any of his games. even though he works with that wind bag dan fouts now, he is still the best. whoaaaa nelly!
