Who voted for such a :[ president!!!

The only opinion I have is that I was seriously troubled by Condie Rice's refusal to take over the Commisioner of the NFL's job. Very disappointing! She's a Browns fan...it would have been so perfect!

As to the black president....Wycleff's song is very true...if he was president...he'd be elected on Friday...assasinated on Saturday...and buried on Sunday.

I feel democrats are far better than republicans who seem to have totally forgotten that rule that said religion and state shall be kept separate...

I don't think our forefathers meants to have religion completely obliterated from everything political. Said rule was devised, IMO, to keep religious beliefs from dictating goverment actions. I.e, you had sex before marriage so you must be stoned. Or, take a look at what Afganistan's policies were prior to 9/11. The seperation from Church and State was to prevent such happenings.

Is anyone really a Browns fan?  [:)]

I am a Bronco fan.  Remember the gift Ernest Biner (I think was his name) handed the Broncos several years back?  Wasn't he a Brown at the time?

    Memory foggy.  Drugs not good.

Aww sorry, I'm  a Browns fan by marriage so the history stuff is lost on me,...lol!

    May I just say something...

I'm not going to say anything about President Bush because to each his own. Everyone is entitled to their opinion. It's just a very convenient life he had, with Daddy paving the way for him. He's a moron, but at the same time, I don't think Kerry would have been good for the job either. He's basically a draft dodger that miraculously earned a purple heart. He reeks of Hyannis Port- Kennedy  like "yeah this sounds good but it doesn't really work"...

I just don't understand why people felt there needed to be a movie about 9/11. I live on Long Island. I will never ever forget the scenes from that day, as they will be forever imbedded in my memory. Nor will I forget the hysteria that was felt by me and so many people.

But there Hollywood goes again, harping on a tragedy, trying to make a quick buck. What a surprise. [:@]

What rule is that and what evidence has led you to conclude that dems are better at following it than reps?

Its the law of Separation of Chruch and State.  Its a long debated topic, but basically is derived from freedom of religion.

Combining the two results in far too much power.

    I agree with you.

Or like making abortion illegal??  That is based on his religious beliefs... therefore mixing church and state to an extent that takes away multiple freedoms.  I dont agree with abortion either, but I wouldnt hold it against anyone if they made the decision to do that.  Its their choice. I sure as heck dont agree with taking away others rights beacause of *your* (person in charge) beliefs say its bad.

Maybe the pres. needs a reminder as to why we left England a long time ago.

Billy, I think Amy is talking about the so called *Evangelical Christian Right Wing* who IMHO is about the most UN Christian group I've ever seen as far as their attitudes toward women, gays, nonChristians, etc. And for some reason, the Republicans seem inundated with these squirrels.  (No offense meant here toward REAL squirrels).[:D] It just seems like this group wants to decide what is & isn't *sinful* or *acceptable* or what *God wants* - like they have a clue. And that just plain scares a lot of people.

I suck at these political debates mostly because I'm not on top of it like I feel like I should be at times.  However, having been raised a Catholic and seen the fanaticism of other religions and what it does to their countries (Iraq, Afghanistan, China, etc) I firmly believe the President should not make choices based on his religious beliefs.  And  no one can convince me that his decisions on marriage and abortion and the like, are in no way NOT based on his religious beliefs.  Marriage between a man and a man or a woman and a woman does not disintegrate the *sancitity* of marriage any more than the divorce rate.  IMHO, the divorce rate in this country does more to violate the sanctitiy of marriage then letting 2 individuals of the same sex get married.  AND THERE'S A WAR GOING ON FOR CRIMINY'S SAKE.

As for the Democrat and Republican *war*, the Republicans, unfortunately, have more people willing to speak up and push their beliefs, ideas on others than the Democrats.  That's my *opinion*.

I think if you can't tell that Bush and Cheney are screwing over the country BIG TIME, losing us tons of money, alienating nearly all the other countries in the world with their lack of foreign diplomacy, destroying the environment big time, being reverse Robin Hoods, taking away our civil rights, lying their pants off....well....open your eyes, folks. [:@] Don't just take the rhetoric the Bush Party hands out. (I maintain that when I was a kid, there was such a thing as a moderate Republican, something other than a fanatical right-wing Limbaugh-Lover! I miss those "normal" Republicans!)

The moderate repubs are still out there--they have just been pushed to the wings.  Some are trying to make a come back...and are trying to claim a little bit of the party back for themselves.  I think their main concern is small government and fiscal responsibility (and I challenge anyone to defend Bush on those fronts).  Here's Christie Todd Whitman's website....she's a moderate repub and just wrote a book about this subject.

Great site! Yes! My father was a Republican of just that sort. He was killed in a plane crash back in 1972 and I'm sure is rolling in his grave over what's happened to the GOP!

As I recall, it was a playoff game.  The Browns were ahead by a point or two, with like no time left in the game.  Biner was going in for a touchdown, which would have put the game out of reach for the Broncos.  He fumbled, the Broncos recovered and ran it back for a touchdown to win the game.

Ask hubby if he remembers.  Hurt him bad if you wanna.  LOL.
