Anyone got any spare 4 leaf clovers?

Our house has a contract on it and their inspector is coming by today at 1pm. I'm hoping like anything this old lady of a house hasn't gone too far downhill since we bought her 3 years back...at that time the inspection went fine. I am nervous as all get out that something is going to sink this deal as we're on a schedule to move before school starts...BUT we do have a backup plan for the school thing, so I think that's helping with Murphy's law.

    ANYWHO..good thoughts...lucky chants...lol! pass pass PASS, this inspection! [sm=wink2.gif]

    FINGERS CROSSED for you!
If there haven't been any major floods or weird weather during the last 3 years, I bet you're fine.

    Good luck!!

No prob, RDub!  I'll have a four leaf clover salad for lunch for ya.  I don't think blue cheese dressing will dampen the effects any.  :)) Jules

LOL Jeano...my kid has pinkeye, and I was thinking of exaggerating that to a "contagious disease"...and telling him,..."but don't worry...you should be fine as long as you're not in the house TOO long..."...LMAO!

A friend was keeping a particularly nasty Dobe in her basement the day of her appraisal.  The appraiser was afraid of dogs and declined to check the basement! hahah!

As a buyer of several houses so far, I think that's terrible.  The dobe in the basement that is.  I understand the not wanting to fix anything that's wrong, but you always have the option to give them money off or say as is.  We gave a little money off on the last house we sold but we knew about the big problems.  We said if you want it, then we'll give you x dollars at closing but are not fixing anything else.  We fixed minor stuff but didn't want to go through the hassle of fixing the mold in the attic before moving!  Unless it's major major stuff, don't worry.  We bought a house with leaky basement, termites and soft roof.    The termites hadn't caused damage to the house yet, so we have termite treatments around the house.  The soft roof is not a problem according to a roofing guy and the basement has now been fixed.

I have been very thankful to inspectors on a couple houses we looked at.  One was a HUD home and we knew it would have problems besides the obvious, but the number of major problems was too much for us to handle, so we backed out.  I'm talking termite damage, plumbing problems, flooring problems, window problems, etc etc....

Edited:  I am hoping it all goes ok for you Gina!  :)  I know it can be tense!

My son actually found a 4 leaf clover in the back yard today if you can believe it.  So I'll send you the spirit of it as I'm pretty sure it left the thing when he pulled the leaves off of it!
