A dog beyong your means...or dreams?

So last night my girlfriends were sitting around the dinner table talking about dogs, or favorite breeds, adn what we migth get next. One friend mentioned that she has always loved yorkie's but her husband has always had dobermans, more then one at a time and she wouldnt feel comfertable getting such a small dog around the dobies. It got me thinking of when I was searching for a dog all the breeds I wanted so bad but didnt have the space or means to take care of it properly. So what are some dogs that you wish you could have or animal dreams you wish you could fulfill?
    Here's mine, dont laugh....
I wanted a Bloodhound SO bad! Ever since I saw Sweet Home Alabama I fell in love with those wrinkly faces! Now for those of you that dont know I am a 100 lbs, 24 yr old female, total California girl who drives a jetta and lives in a studio, haha! Could you just imagine me going to the beach with this big ole bloodhound? lol! My mom said "oh I could just see you two onthe beach, you throw a ball, the bloodhound turns and looks at you like, are you gonna get that"? I know its laughable but I swear someday when I have room I'm getting one! So obviously I settled, oops not actually settled because I love my girl but most of you know I have Rory, my sweet APBT. My mom laughs at the fact that she is the same color as a bloodhound and when she sleeps I'll push all the skin on her skull forward so it wrinkles on her face and I pretend she's a miniture bloodhound, ha ha!
Also after having Rory I've decided I just need a farm, no farm animals just kennels with rescue pit bulls. That would be AWESOME!!! Eitehr that or maybe jamie will need live in helper someday, ha ha!
Oh and Frenchie's, I love how therie ears stick up, the creme or blonde color ones appeal to me a lot!

I would love a great pyrenees. I have always loved and wanted one since I was a child. Maybe much later in life we will have the room for one. BTW, I am 4'11. I am sure that walking a great pyrenees will have people looking at us. Kind of like when I hop out of my Dodge Ram 1500. LOL.  I would also love a Pomeranian. Right now they are out of our means because of having many dogs. Maybe a Pom will be our next dog.

    Animal Dreams:

Maddi with a perfect recall (just imagine those off trail woodland hikes with no unwrapping leads from trees!!!!!! I get excited just thinking about it. *sigh*).

    Dream Dogs:
I want an Akita and a Doberman. I miss having the regalness of Meeko, and her dependability.

Dobermans have always caught my eye, and their personality seems wonderful.

I am in love with the sweetness of Deerhounds, the energy of Ibizans, the grace of Salukis, the aloofness of the Azawakh and Sloughi, the calm gentleness of the greyhound, the aura and spirit of pretty much all sighthounds.  Alas I live in a 2BR condo in the suburbs of DC.

I love love love border collies.  I think they are the most beautiful dogs, and I love how smart and driven they are.  But I know I don't have an active enough lifestyle to really ;provide a truly happy home for a BC, and probably never will.  [:(]

I'd really like a Bullmastiff, but it's definitely not in the cards right now! I live in a very small one bedroom apartment and the dog would take up way too much space. Plus I really think they should have a yard... We also have a 2 dog limit here and I'm already at that limit with one Shih Tzu and another one arriving in 3 weeks. Plus, I'm not sure how it would work out having such a HUGE size difference with both Shih Tzus under 10 pounds and the Bullmastiff probably being around 100 pounds. I think they're very gentle dogs, but accidentally stepping or sitting on the little guys could do them in. :( PLUS, Bullmastiffs are so expensive, everything just costs so much for them... So yeah, definitely not happening anytime soon, if ever.

Other dogs on my list are the Shar Pei and Frenchie, they're much more realistic but still not happening for quite awhile.

Oh Luvntzus, that remonds me. I also love the Neopolatin Mastiff's, the big ole grey ones like in Harry Potter.

I said I always wanted Great Pyrnees. She is a smaller version of a pyr and I picked her out from a Great Pyrenees resce group fulling intending to take home a Pyr! Now I would like another dog like her or similar--so either a Pyr or another maremma but not until I have much more space. We live in an apartment so right now there is just room for one dog.

    An English bulldog.<---absolute dream dog.
But, I just can't afford the cost of one nor the possible medical bills.

A basenji. love, Love, LOVE 'em.

An Amstaff. Beautiful facial structure and so strong.

A black pug. <---my friend has a fawn pug and she is the sweetest thing on the planet. Black pugs are SOO cute.

A red doberman. beautiful, protective dog. But such lovebugs.

I have always loved any kind of sight hound--but I think the Ibizans would be the coolest.
I also would like a white or cream colored german shepherd.

I would love love love to get a great dane.  I just adore them.  They are so large (*love* their size) yet so graceful looking/doofy at the same time.  I really like the harlequin danes.
One day, I WILL have a great dane.

I also Looooooove Frenchies... way out of my price range though, and their vet bills can be a tad high.

I have a soft spot, as well, for bostons.

I am hoping, though, to adopt another APBT. I have fallen in love with the breed, as Tyson is a true ambassador.
Thats the most reasonable/realistic option at the moment... I think...

Okay, if wishes were horses, and I could afford to have someone clean my house 2x a week, I'd have a Samoyed.  As it is now, I just don't think I'd be happy with all that hair all over my house.  And I know better than to think I'm going to vaccuum more than once a week (once a week on a good week).

Otherwise, I'd like a Cirneco dell Etna and a Chart Polski.  Maybe a Shiba Inu too.

Really, my dream dog is my current brindle basenji.  He really is perfect and I'd love to have another just like him.

I had to post this question because I've been driving my boyfriends NUTS. Since I dont have room, time, or funds for antoerh dog I keep printing out pictures of puppies on pet finder and taking them to his house saying "dont you want a puppy"? LOL! I'm like "wouldnt you just love a bloodhound" he says "ugh no but obviously you would". I just wanna smelll a lil puppy breath and play, haha!

They're cute, a bit too much flews for me though. [:-] lol And speaking of the other Mastiff breeds, I also like Dogue de Bordeaux.

I forgot to mention that when I was working at an animal shelter in CA, there was a female Bloodhound, a little under a year old. She was ADORABLE! She was also really sweet and seemed very smart, but definitely had a stubborn streak. [;)]

I would love to have a great dane and a doberman.  I may end up with a pitt after we move (from a shelter)... if it all works out with Bailey.
